What they really are-Misconception

I'm just a small, hazel-eyed, 17 year old girl. I don't know anyone inside out and nor will they know what I'm really like. We all have that weird side to us, but we don't share it to anyone due to the fact that we think that they'll judge us, because we all know that they will.
And that's why we hide it from people, and when they find out who we really are, we are disowned and feel borrowed. That's what I found out.

I was sitting on the edge of my bed waiting for Maisy to ring me and ask if i was okay. It wasn't that hard to press the green button and dial my number. She'd been ignoring me for a week now and it wasn't fair. Yet, I didn't want to make the first move, not because I'm a coward but for the simple fact that I want to seem like the stronger person and not go chasing after her.

We'd fallen out over something so stupid and worthless. Her boyfriend Max had been seen in the corridor with another girl, which happened to be me. But all I was doing was asking, ironically where Maisy was. She glared at me from the bottom of the classroom and ran off, her books clutched tightly in her arms. She'd taken it the wrong way and now wasn't speaking to me. That's when it occurred to me that I should've asked Max to speak to her and maybe she'd come round to the idea. Or... maybe she'd think that I was bribing her boyfriend to tell her lies that weren't true to save their relationship.

I only have a small group of friends and I honestly couldn't ask for anyone better. They understand my social anxiety and won't pressure me to do anything that I'm not comfortable with. But there's this one girl in our friendship group that just doesn't quite fit in, she's the one that nobody talks to in the group and tends to spend most of her time in the library. Oh. That's me. That's right, the loner that sits in the library asking the librarian for this week's new cover of 'books weekly'.

Anyway, I'd been sat on my bed for just under an hour now and still no reply from Maisy. That's when a random number rang me. I knew I shouldn't answer but before I knew it my finger hit the button on the screen. "Hello?" I questioned "It's me" replied the voice on the phone. "Sorry I don't know any me's" I tried to joke. "It's Maisy" she yelled and snorted at my unwelcomed sarcasm. "Oh hi I've been wanting to talk to you about what happened with me and.."
"Max?" She finished my sentence. "Mhm" I replied. "He told me everything that happened, and I'm so sorry for assuming that something was going on between you two" she said "oh it's fine I was just worried that's all" I said questioning whether I really was alright with it all. "Well I'm going to have to go now, but are we still on for that trip to London next month?" "Yes, of course we are" I snapped back "okay great, I'll talk to you soon bye" and before I knew it the phone had hung up before I had a chance to say goodbye.
