It was finally time. It was the time for me to venture out to the big wide world. But maybe I had some friendship issues to sort out first? Maisy had been giving me the cold shoulder for the past month and I had finally had enough of it.
I grabbed my thick jumpers and skinny jeans and folded them to fit in the suitcase which was eventually pointless as they all scrunched into one ball. I swiped my arm against thr cabinet and let my bathroom products fall into my bag and yet again discreetly made them fit into my suitcase.
But then again, I find no point in doing your own suitcase when you're a teenager because your parents always change it anyway. That's why I purposely didn't make it fit perfectly like a jigsaw. She slammed open my door and sat on my desk chair, slowly wheeling it closer to my bed. She started to pack it tighter and then went to zip it up, pushing it down with her legs, squirming whilst doing it.
As she finished, I said "mum what do you do if someone doesn't like you" and she looked at me confused at what I had just asked. "You have to find out why they don't like you and sort it out." "And what if they're someone who treats people like rubbish without everyone knowing?" I replied. "Well then you need to tell someone" I just nodded and tried to acknowledge what she just said. I could tell that she wanted to know why I was asking, but she trusted me enough to make the right decision.
She walked out and I sat on my suitcase, looking up at my ceiling. It was blank... It was perfect for painting words on, words to describe people. I grabbed the handle of my suitcase and pulled it up with force and wheeled it down the stairs as it banged against each step. It came to a halt at the bottom of the stairs from the friction of our rough, green carpet. As I said before, I had had enough of Maisy and her not letting me talk. So when I go to see her it would most likely be awkward. That's why I rung her, that's why I made an effort.
She must've been waiting for me because she picked up almost instantly. We talked for a while before I finally picked up the courage to say the words "I just want to explain myself and not be cut off." In which she replied "I completely understand, go on" For a minute I hesitated before I soon went on to get carried away with what I was saying. "I'm so sorry if you thought anything was going on between me and Max, I thought I'd rung you beforehand to tell you this, but it turned out to be Emily" "It's absoluetly fine, it was just tough for me to see my boyfriend possibly get swept away by somebody else." We kept talking about it and we both ended up apologising to eachother and that's where we left it.
I was so glad I had sorted it out...
