The Year is 1968, The Vietnam War has gone on long enough, the American Government attempt to rally men to fight for The United States, and also attempt to stir up conflict with the power of diplomacy, men who decide to fight in Vietnam either Die; or survive. However, you are not expected to survive the multi-terrain country with humid and hot terrains even with your training, this story that follows is fully fiction, not based on anyone, but the traps, vehicles and history is true, you follow the story of Benjamin Polk, A white male. This story is in first person, so dont go asking ''OH WHY IS IT I'D AND NOT HE'D?'' well theirs your answers...
I'd walk down the street and see a poster ''JOIN THE MARINES! FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT, FOR AMERICA, FOR UNCLE SAM! Join at your nearest army recruitment centre!'' I'd then walk over to the fruit store, finding a bag of apples and then leaving the price next to the till. I'd walk home but halfway there I noticed something... It was a recruiting centre! I dropped my bag, and ran to it, it was open; I'd enter to see around 15 males standing in a line to meet 2 males at a desk.
Around 23 minutes later I finally got there, ''Sign here with your job, Age, weight, height and home address.'' I'd sign with all the boxes filled and passed the sheet to the man at the desk, ''Now run off, we'll see if your qualified, for the US Marine Corps.'' I'd wander home and tell my family the news, they weren't happy.
