I was awoken by walking in the hallway outside my bedroom, I glanced at the clock, 4:36 pm. Must be my roommate getting back from wherever she was.
I should probably get up and introduce myself.
I hopped out of my now unmade bed and decided to tidy myself up before introducing myself. First impressions are the most important.
After a few minutes of fixing my hair and straightening my sweater I slowly opened the door of my bedroom. I could hear commotion coming from the kitchen and living room area, so I assumed that she's getting her bags from against the wall.
I walked out of my room and down the hall to the living room, where I could hear the commotion stop, she must have realized that I'm here. I entered the room slowly, and standing there was not the person I was expecting, a bag in either hand, standing against the wall was a tall, at least 6'3, boy, looking just about as confused as I must look. I couldn't help but take in his attractive appearance. He had dark brown, messy but gorgeous hair, piercing green eyes and a striking stature. He was wearing dark blue jeans, and simple long sleeve, white shirt and expensive looking boat shoes.
"Um.. hi." I managed to mutter under my breath.
"Hey." He said, looking at me intensely.
"So, are you helping someone move in?" I questioned, confused. "No, actually, I'm the one moving in." He exclaimed. But wait, this must be a mistake, when they recommended me to stay with another student from the same school, wouldn't it be a girl? "Are you sure you have the right room number? I thought my roommate was supposed to be a girl." I said in a shy reserved voice. "Nope, apartment 8B, are you sure you have the right room?" He asked.
"Yeah, positive."
"Oh, well did you request to rent a space with another girl?"
"No, I guess I just assumed..." I trailed off, I didn't dawn on me until now that I should have made sure that they were recommending me only apartments with someone of the same gender.
"Damn, well unfortunately for you, all living situations are final as of yesterday, so it looks like you're stuck with me for the first semester." He smirked. "I'm Logan Andrews."
I could feel panic rising in my chest, there's no way I could be stuck living with this insanely gorgeous boy all semester. Wait. Did I really just say that he's insanely gorgeous. This is exactly why I wanted to separate myself from boys as much as possible, and now I'm stuck living with one.
He stuck out his hand at me, probably in an attempt to get me to talk to him.
"Can I get a name? Ya know, since we'll be living together for a whole semester." He said, in an annoyingly charming way.
"Yeah, sorry. Wynonna Adams." I said, reaching my hand out to meet his. As my hand touched his, I could feel my entire arm tingle.
Oh god.
"Hm, that's a very unusual name, I like it."
"Thanks." I muttered. I must have let a small smile creep across my face, because I was met with a laugh from Logan.
Before I could say another word, he turned around, stuffing his arms with as many bags and boxes as he possibly could, and continued on into his room.
What have I gotten myself into.
