Chapter Six: In The Dark

Skylar's POV 

I watched Landon go upstairs then I turned to Jake.

"He's going to leave me for Jackie because i'm not ready yet."

"Who? Blake? Sky, he really loves you." Jake said.

"But he said we never do anything and that he has needs. Jake, I think he's going to leave me because I won't have sex with him."

Jake thought this over.

"This is all Andrew's fault for having him date May! It turned him into a manwhore. If he wasn't at college right now, i'd beat him up for you, Sky. You're so glad Landon is not that old yet."

I looked up at Jake.

"I'm just scared, Jake. Would you break up with Sophie if she wasn't ready?" I asked.

"Of course not! That would be a dick move. Plus, I really like her."

"Can you just hold me for a little while? I really need it." I asked.

"Sure thing, Sky."

Jake put his arms around me and I felt safe again. I had been in the dark for so long I didn't know if I could stand it anymore. With someone holding me, though, I felt whole again.

My head was on his shoulder and when I opened my eyes, I saw Landon and Blake staring at us, but I didn't care. I don't have feelings towards anyone but Blake.

I finally decided that I should get up, but the truth was I felt so comfortable with Jake. But we were broken apart when Blake spoke.

"I'm ready to go, Jake."

Jake gently pulled away and looked at me.

"I'm just one call away, cupcake." He said then winked.

"Let's go Blake. I will tell mom if she finds out you've been drinking though." Jake said.

"Whatever. Night Land.....Skies." Said Blake.

I looked up at him and could only stare.

"Goodnight, Blake." Landon said.

"Goodnight, Tootsie Roll."

I looked at Blake.

"Superstar."

And they left.

"Okay, time for bed, Skies"

So Landon and I walked up the stairs and into our rooms. Only I couldn't fall asleep. I had so much to worry about.
