Sons and Daughters of the Night

Easy day

The day went pretty smoothly afterwards we had customers here and there buying herbs and what not. I mostly was just taking care of our plants while the girls mostly did most of the shops exchanges. Afterwards I went back into the back to make sure that man had been completely drained. I walked and sure enough the bowl was completely full. I removed the bowl from under him and set it aside for later.
I can't forget the eyes I remember a customer wanted them
I grabbed a knife and swiftly remove his eyes putting them in a container. I walked out of the room and called for Kylie. She came very quickly into the room with the look of curiosity.
"what all should we take from him is there anything of his that would be useful for us besides his eyes? a customers already asked for them in exchange for the six bat hearts that I needed." I asked
"I don't think there's anything we could really use, mostly when you take things from a human body it's helpful when they're alive more than dead." She said
"Well we have his blood I guess that will just have to do for now. Our blood magic will be fine for a while." I said
"How are we going to get rid of the body this time?" She asked
"Do we need any more fertilizer for the plants?" I asked
"No we still have six full jars left from the other past 2 bodies we've used over the past month." She said
"Then I'll just burn him later scatter his ashes in the garden." I said
"Do you really want that kind of energy around our garden?" She said
"fine then I'll dump him in the river." I said
"that works." She said
"Was this the only special customer for today?" I asked
"it was the only one requested for I think the next three days." She said
"Good we don't need people thinking that we're out here being a bunch of murders. We don't need another dose of the Salem witch trials."
"You're telling me dollface. Come on, time to close shop soon for the night." She said
We walked out of the room back into the Main shop. I returned to the front desk and was just aimlessly thinking about nothing when the phone rang.
"Rituals apothecary how may I help you?" I spoke into the phone
"Yes I would like to speak to Kayla Caleroni please." A deep voice responded
"This is she may I  ask who is calling?" I asked
"Ah! Kayla very good to hear from you it's Chris Cerulli." He said
I instantly became very happy.
"It's good to hear from you too Chris how are you?" I asked
"Very well thank you I was wondering if it would be alright if I and the rest of my coven came and joined you ladies for dinner or something." He asked, he sounded kind of nervous
"ladies how would it sound if Chris and the rest of his coven came and joined us for dinner?" I asked the girls
They all became very excited, smiles all around.
"I think that is a wonderful idea any particular dietary choices that you men would prefer?" I asked
"Don't worry I will bring something very humane and ungruesome. So that no one becomes uncomfortable." He said
"What time would you like to come?" I asked
"How does in 10 minutes sound?" He asked
"Perfect, we're just about to start closing up our shop but feel free to stop in here first if you like." I said
"Then we will see you shortly." He said
He hung the phone up after wards.
I just looked at the girls and we all became quite excited.
"I'm so happy to be seeing them! They're such lovely company!" Allie proclaimed
"We all have to get back over and make ourselves presentable for our guests!" Ry exclaimed.
"Why don't you all head back over to the house. Chey I'll need your help real quick and then we can close up for the night." I said
The girls started to walk out and they headed to the house.
"Hey grab some of the lemongrass oil please, it will help the smell." I said
She went and grabbed a bottle and we went into the back room to finish the mess. I opened the door and there was a heavy smell of death in the room.
"Ugh let's just burn him and get it over with." I said
Chey grabbed some hair spray and began to spray the corpse.
"Hurry before it dries!" She said
Flames flickered from my finger tips and I flicked them on to the body. It began to be swallowed by flames, the skin beginning to turn dark and crack. The room was getting a little to warm for my personal taste so I stepped out. I grabbed a jar that we can use to put his ashes in. Chey can out and joined me as well.
"Do you think the lemon grass will be strong enough?" She asked
"Hmm we could probably use the mint as well. The two do create a rather powerful scent that will mask this until morning." I said
About a good 10 minutes went by and we walked back into the room, the corpse now nearly turn to ashes but now a heap on the ground.
"Care to finish it up?" I asked
"Yeah sure, if it gets us back to the house quicker." She said
She walked over and fire irrupted from her hands covering the already singed remains. In no time at all the whole thing was reduced to ashes.
"Phew glad that's done." She said
I put the jar in the ground near the ashes. With a flick of my hand the ashes swirled and disposed into the jar.
"Now let's dump the bastard in the river and be done with it all." I said
I grabbed the jar and sealed the lid on it. We walked out of the shop into the back area, not far from our own property there is a larger flowing river. We came to the edge of the river and saw it water running wild and rapid, it was almost calming. I tossed the jar into the river and it was carried away. We began to head back so that we can close up shop. We returned and she went to clean things up in the back and I put all of our herbs away safely.
"Good night my treasures, see you all in the morning." I said
Their leaves rested down and I closed them away. I locked the back door and cleaned out stations from making things. Water all the plants and gathered the things from which I traded for.
"Chey are you ready to leave?" I asked
"Yes let's head back over to the house." She said
We walked outside and the sun was setting. I locked our door and we headed to the house.
"Sooo what do you think of Chris?" She said nudging me
I blushed and acted shocked
"Huh? Chris? Well he is charming to say the least." I said
She giggled and we walked in silence until we arrived home. We walked in there was a buzzing energy from the girls. I headed to my room to clean up and put away my things. I walked in and laid back on my bed.
What a day and now to look forward to them arriving.
I decided to stay in what I wore cause what was the point in changing but I did decided to fix my hair and undo the braid and let my hair just be wavy which I though was pretty. I took some eye coal and smudged some under my eyes and put on some mascara and it made my eyes huge.
Then my ears perked as I heard doors closed.
