Dinners Ready

We were all sitting and talking about the nonsense of the day and just getting to know everyone better.
"So what is it that you all do exactly?" Ryan had asked us
"We run our own herb shop a couple houses down." I said
"Ahhh I see, lovely." He said
"Kayla darling can I have your help here in the kitchen for a moment?" Allie called out
"On my way!" I replied
"Excuse me for a moment." I said getting up
I walked into the kitchen and saw Allie getting glasses for everyone.
"Will you please grab some of these?" She asked
"Yes of course!" I said taking a few into the crook in my arm.
Making our way back into the dining room and I had grabbed the bottle of blood Chris had brought in earlier.
"Gentlemen take a glass please." I said as I put them on the table.
All of them came and grabbed a glass and returned to their seats.
"Ry will you distribute their meal to them." I asked her
"Of course." She said
I uncorked the bottle and with the flick of her wrist then blood from the bottle began to rise out of it into a floating ball. She began to hover it over each of the men's glasses and would lower one hand and the blood would enter the cup until it was full and then she would raise her hand again and move from glass to glass. Then the remaining amount was returned into the bottle and I recorked the bottle. They clapped for her and she smile.
"Dinner is served!" I proclaimed as I sat down next to Chris.
We had made our dinner before serving theirs. It was salmon and vegetables with some fruit for sweetness.
"What about you all? What do you do for a living?" Salem had asked
"We have our own oddities parlor. It has everything creepy and weird you can think of." Chris said
"Absolutely brilliant!" I said
"What all can you find in an Oddities parlor?" Allie asked
"Anything you can think of! From taxidermy to glass eyes, to preserve body parts, jewelry, medical supplies...the list is endless." Balz said
"Sounds intriguing, we shall have to visit sometime." Kylie said
"I hope you all do, I think it will surprise you with it's crooked charm." Chris said
"Speaking of which, your home is lovely! The decor is one of a kind." Chris added
I smiled at him and the girls gleamed with smiles.
"Thank you! Not many people have the taste for dark aesthetics." I said
"Well humans are the main problem." Vinny said
"Disgusting creatures.." Salem said
"Well I mean we are technically humans..." Allie said slightly shyly
"Yes but we carry a much higher power and understanding of the world. That's what makes us better than them. We possess all the true energy of the universe within the palms of our hands. That's why we are smarter and more cunning." Kylie said proudly
"Not to mention we have a much longer life span..they're time is limited." I said
"Here here." Ryan said sipping his glass
"So what powers do you all have?" Ghost asked
We all just looked at each other, there was a pause in the air.
"Well with witches some carry more then others. For instance Ry can control water or things with water contained." I said
"I've even learned how to move bodies at my will." She said
"How did you learn to do that?" Balz asked
"There's water in blood..and blood in bodies. I could make you move at my will if I wanted too." She said smirking
"Prove it." Vinny asked
Her smirk deepened and I have to bite my lip from laughing. Ry had to so much as look at him and Vinnys eyes grew wide.
"Whaa?!" He said
He moved back and rose from his chair. Ry rose a hand and he began to spin and twirl. She made him run and pause, fall to the ground and she even made him quite the ballerina. We all laughed at this truck and Ry was getting a kick out of it as well.
"Pleaseeee! Stop!" Vinny said
With that she put her hand down and he collapsed to the ground. He stood up and gathered himself and returned to the table.
"Please mark for me to never asked that again." He said while smoothing his hair back
"What about the rest of you?" Chris asked
"Chey and I can conjure flames at our finger tips or create an inferno." I said as a flame danced in my hand
"So does fire burn you at all?" Ricky asked
"Not at all. If anything it's a comfort." Chey replied as her moved her hand over the flames on the candles. The flames caressing her hands but never burning her.
"What about you Salem?" Ryan asked
"I can control the weather, if I want it to storm then I'll make it happen." She said
Off in the distance we heard thunder rolling. The trickle of rain on our windows.
"You're eyes glow!" Ricky exclaimed
Salem's eye glowed a bright blue.
"You didn't know that about witches?" I asked
"What exactly?" Chris asked
"Whenever a witch uses a gift our eyes glow. The color depends on the gift. Chey and my eyes glow a orangey yellow color. Ry's eyes glow a aquamarine color, and Allies glow an emerald color." I said
"Amazing!" Ghost said
"What is your gift Allie?" Vinny asked
"I can manipulate emotions." She said
"Please don't try that on me!" Vinny proclaimed
We all giggle at his exasperated plea, his face slightly panic but mostly joking.
"And I'm sure as you know but witches have the ability to go invisible at will." I said
"Really!?" Balz asked
Then as if on que our bodies disappeared. The men's eyes widened.
"Really." I heard Salem say
"And yet they still caught you all during the Salem witch trials.." Ghost said
We all flicked back into seeing form.
"The women they claimed were witches was of no magical decent or gifts. They're poor souls were mostly of a normal human, just blamed by mindless "god fearing" idiots. Any real witch was able to escape or pull of such a brilliant act it kept them alive. There is only two true witches that were ever marked being burnt at the stake during the Salem Witch Trials. But they were not a public execution, because those who murdered didn't live long enough to watch them die. They died with the witches they caught." Chey said
"A life...for a life." I said
"Dark times..so much for a "Puritan age" nothing lies and false hope." I said finishing my wine.
"Well this certainly did take a dark turn." Balz said finishing his glass
"Why don't we turn this back into a more light conversation." Ricky added
"I agree, the negative energy does my spirit raw." I said
"Shall we go into the other room, play some music?" Allie asked
"Sounds delightful." Chris said
We gathered our dishes and collected the men's glasses and put them in the sink. We will take of them later. We all moved into the living room and Chey and I lit some candles to create an ora for the room.
"So sound we play something on the machine or?" Salem asked
"Why don't we perform for them? They would love it!" Ry said
I cut my eyes at her and my eyes glowed
"What's the matter?" Chris asked
"Kayla hates singing in front of people. Even though she has the voice of a goddess." Kylie added
My cheeks flushed with color and grew warm.
"Then we must hear it, as your guests we require a performance from our delightful hosts." Chris said making himself comfortable in the chair.
I let out a breathe and calmed myself
"Then I mote it be." I said
Salem sat at the piano and Allie and Ry took to their violins. Chey said with her flute positioned. I stood there letting my emotions flow.
"What shall we perform for them?" Allie asked
"An old favorite." I said
They began to play softly, the quiet soft melody hummed in the air. I breathed in and then I sang.

The violins softly ended and the last key was hit. My voice trailed off into silence. They all clapped for us and cheered.
"Wonderful darling!"
"The voice of an angel!"
"You girls are amazing!"
They were showering us in compliments making me blush in return.
"Aw your are all to flattering but thank you." I said
We joined them back in the seating and we all ended up finding out pairs. Ry was with Balz, Allie with Ghost, Kylie with Ryan, and Chey with Ricky. I found myself fully indulge in Chris's attention and I didn't mind it a single bit. Some where piled on the couch, some in seats. Kylie and Ryan went to her room and I think Balz and Ry went for a walk somewhere.
Chris and I were near a window that looked out into our back yard and into the forest.
"You have the most amazing voice I have ever heard in all my life." He said looking at me
"Thank you Chris." I said smiling
Not knowing how to keep the conversation alive I fiddled with my necklace and looked out the window. I saw Chris reach for my hand and he took it in his. I shivered at his touch, he let go immediately.
"Oh I'm sorry.." He said
"No no! It's okay! It actually feels nice." I said taking his hand again.
"It's like..a cold breeze on an Autumn evening. Cold but soothing. I like it." I added
"I've never heard anyone explain it like that, it's almost poetic." He said
I just smiled and moved a little closer to him. I leaned my head on his shoulder, our hands were still interlocked.
I looked out to see it gently raining and the moon was still shining brightly. I thought to myself.
I could spend eternity and all of its splendors like this.
