My family doesn't have flood insurance and this is the view from our front door
Our entire front yard is submerged and the walkway has an inch of water. Four more inches and it will officially enter my house. Not to mention the constant flash flood and tornado warnings that we're getting. I can't help thinking back to the last time it rained this hard. It was two years ago, once the rain stopped school was canceled for a week due to damages and flooding. During that week me and my brother went to help people who's houses flooded, these people lost a lot. Entire floors were ripped out, furniture was ruined, walls were mildew infested and deteriorating. And the flooding was only half as bad. I can barely imagine what those people are doing right now.
I'm not a religious person in any sense. But recently I found myself praying to any god that might actually be out there for it to stop, we've suffered enough. Lives have been lost, millions of dollars of damage has been done. I'm scared. We're all scared.
I'll write more later, my children.
