"Let go!"

"No!" I said, as I pulled the blanket closer.

"I'm making pan cakes." She bribed.

"Then they must have burned, cause you're still here." I groaned out.

"If you don't wake up right now, I'll. . ." She threatened.

I'll elaborate, so my mom is trying to wake me up on Saturday. She knows very well that I sleep in, every Saturday. But no, she just had to wake me up. And besides I'm tired from last night.

"What?" I whined, pushing myself further into the blankets.

"I'll get a bucket of freezing cold water, and-" she didn't have to finish that.

"I'm up!" I sprang out of my bed, not wanting to get wet.

"Good, now get dressed." She said, as she left. "And dress proper." She left.

"And dress proper." I mimicked.

"I heard that!" She shouted, from outside my door.

"Heard what!?" I shot back.

I fixed my bed, then showered. After I was done, I got dressed in my. . .

I walked downstairs, and saw my mom and dad. They looked ready to leave.

"Why am I up this early?" I asked. Cue my dad looking at his wrist watch.

"Its 13:45 its way past midday." Dad said.

"Hmm," I glared at my dad as he smirked. "Where are you going?" I asked, as I pulled out the nutella jar, and a spoon.

"We, are going to this house warming." Mom said, as she took my spoon full of nutella, and shoved it in her mouth.

"We getting new neighbors?" I took the spoon away from her. Then I shoved some nutella in my mouth.

"Yeah, the family is actually coming back, not new." She said, as she took a spoon full of nutella from me.

"Do I know them?" I asked, as I took the spoon away from her.

"I doubt you'll remember them." I passed her the spoon.

"Why wouldn't I?" She fed me a spoon full of nutella.

"You were too young when they left." She said.

"You do realize that you guys are indirectly kissing, right?" Dad said, as I was about to ask who.

"Shut up." Mom and I shouted at him.

"Sorry." He apologized with his eyes wide, and arms up in surrender. "Women." He matured, as he shoved his hands in his pocket.

"Mom, what are bringing the new family as a welcome gift?" I asked, with a raised eyebrow. I mean, if we are going to a house warming then we should bring them something. To make them feel more welcome, you know?
