"Where were you last night?"
"Yeah, we searched the whole house for you, and Anthony." Anna butted in, folding her hands over her chest.
"I don't remember," I shut my locker sighing. "I only remember talking to you and Cameron, then with Heather." I leaned against my locker. "That's all, the rest is just a blur."
"Hmm, funny enough," Anna rubbed her chin, as if thinking. "Anthony was missing too."
Alice's eyes widened. "Somebody had raw meat last night."
She wiggled her eyebrows, while we gasped, and giggled it off.
"Shut up," I slightly pushed her shoulder. "I don't think I could ever betray Junior like that."
"You know, it seems wired calling him Junior." Anna said.
"Yeah, I mean how do you feel? Like when you are in private you go on relationship mode, and then when you are in class he's your teacher." Alice asked, her eyes widening a bit with curiosity.
"I-I don't know how to answer to that." After, an awkward silence followed.
I decided to break it by. "So, what's going on between you and Camy?" I asked Anna with a mischievous smile.
"Yeah, I've been meaning to ask," Alice moved to my side, leaving Anna on her own. "What's going on?"
"I, we just," then she paused. "I don't know what we are." She looked away shamefully.
"Well, you should ask him." Alice said, shifting from one foot to another.
"How? I don't have the guts to ask that." She looked away, "or anything." She muttered.
"Grow some balls, ask him."
Alice nodded in agreement. "Yeah, go for it."
She pushed away a strand of hair, that fell on her face. Other than that, something caught my eye, the bracelet we got her on her birthday. She's wearing it, automatically my eyes flickered to Alice's wrist, I saw her wearing the bracelet too. I immediately felt ashamed, I wasn't wearing mine.
"Are you okay?" Alice asked, somehow noticing the change of mood.
"I'm fine, its just that, I haven't seen Junior in a while." I said, hoping that she would buy the lie I'm selling.
Maybe its not a lie, part of me misses him, his touch, his smell, and his voice, God his voice. I have never been so distant from him. Before I had friends, I would always spend my lunch with him. And then on weekends we would do something together, we always went out of town. No one knew us there, and we liked it that way.
"Aww, you'll see him during lunch." She said, giving me a side hug.
"Thanks, Anna what are you-"
When I looked at her, she was staring at something. I followed her eyes, trying to find out what she is looking at. I looked at her, she must have felt my gaze, 'cause she turned. As her and Kitty passed by us, she winked, Kitty as usual gave me that nasty look.
"Did Heather Thomson just wink at you?" Anna asked, as the three PlasticBrain's turned a corner.
I just shrugged my shoulders, since I was as confused as she was.
When she asked that, it just proved me wrong. I thought I was having a nightmare, were Heather winks at me. I then remembered last nights conversation, is she really on my side? Wait. . .
"Oh no, its to help myself."
Those are exactly the words she said last night when I asked her that. I somehow convinced myself that she was drunk, and actually didn't know what she was saying. But when I sit down and think back, I notice that she was completely normal, well as normal as Heather can be. She actually seemed smart, like she wasn't the confused Heather she is when she is with Kitty.
