Chapter 12: Wasted

*Jaebum's P.O.V*

4 Years Ago...

"But I'm not as weird as Jimin."
We burst into laughter as Jimin was glaring at us.
"I'm not weird." He grumbles while death staring at me. I ruffle his hair. "Yeah...you are." He slaps my arm and walks beside Jungkook instead.
Mark stopped walking all of a sudden.
I turn my head to him, "What's wrong?" I ask.
"Did you forget something?"
Mark looked like he had seen a ghost. He suddenly grabbed my arms to face him. "I-I just r-remembered that we have...to go...back." He says while glancing behind me. I turn my head to see what he was looking at, but he quickly turns my head to look at him.
"What's with y-"
"Let's go! I'm h-hungry." He starts dragging me away but I realise Jungkook and Jimin were staring in the direction Mark was looking at before.

I hear a faint giggle which sounded like Seulgi's.

My head turned around quick enough before Mark could stop me.

But when I saw it, I wish he would've taken me away that time.

Why did I have to be so eager to look?

Mark's hands slowly dropped.

I turn around so my whole body was watching them as they locked lips.
"How could he betray me?" I say in a barely audible voice.
I took a step towards them, but Jimin stopped me from going any closer.
"Wait. Let's just-"
My expression darkens and I turn around to walk home.

The next day, I came to school in a mess. I hadn't fixed my hair or my uniform and the bags under my eyes were clearly visible. I was startled by a petite figure in front of me. I knew who it was, but I didn't want to look at her.
"Jaebum oppa, where were you yesterday?" She asks in a soft voice that always made my heart melt. But, I pushed my feelings aside and walk around her, to my locker. She follows.
She watched me put my books away.
She watched me close my locker and walk away.
She watched me walk into the person who I didn't want to see, the most.
"Hey Jaebum. Wha-"
I interrupt him with a punch on his left side of his face. Seulgi gasped from behind. "Yoongi oppa!".
Her words angered me more, if that was even possible.
"Yah, Jaebum. What's wro-".
Another punch.
He holds my shoulders harshly.
"Just stop punching. And tell me what's wro-"
"You. You are the problem."
He paused as if he knew what I meant.
"You knew I liked her. So why did you come out of nowhere and take her away from me?!"
No reply.
"Y-You liked me?" Seulgi asked.
I made it clear. But she never even noticed my feelings.
He turns around but I hold his wrist.
"Why are you leaving? Aren't you going to punch me back? Or tell me it's a misunderstanding?" I ask through my gritted teeth.
"No. Because that'd be lying. And...I also don't want to hurt you."
And he walks away, not turning back once.

Present Day...
"And that's the reason why I hate him so much." I turn to look at how Y/N felt.
She had a blank face.
"Our groups just stopped talking to each other after a few days from the fight. I couldn't recognise them anymore, they changed a lot. Starex-S was the name of the fourteen of us. Until we split ways. We were Starex. They were BTS. Both BTS and Starex changed schools and Jungkook went on his own way, eventually getting bullied by BTS, at our present school. Then by coincidence we met with BTS and Jungkook." I ended, explaining the full situation to her. She only nodded in response.

"Hey. Food's here." Yoongi said.
We shot our heads to him.
"O-Oh. Thanks." Y/N says and looks over at me.
I look over at Suga and back at Y/N, before walking.
We walk into the restaurant and sit down.
"Remember the old times when we did this?" BamBam asked.

"One. Two. Three." I'd say as we raise our glasses.
"Starex-S!" Everyone would yell back, before drinking our glasses. The memory of all our happy faces were fresh in my mind. But also deep in my heart. And also completely destroyed.

I look over at Mark who was beside me. "Hm?" I ask after he had elbowed me.
"Eat." He said, looking at my plate and back at me.
I look at my plate and realised he had given me food. "Oh...thanks." I smile and pick up the chopsticks before eating.
