BOOK 1: GENNIN
BEGINNING NOTE:
Before I get attacked, here's a note to give insight of what to expect in this fic. If you've read my previous works, you'll know I take a very light vibe to my fics. I don't delve too deep into characters and events (ie: Uchiha Massacre) because I don't do too well in that area. I use the characters of Naruto in a very fanon way where I change their characters to fit how I like to view them (example A: Seize The Day characters are completely OOC within exception for maybe Naruto). With this fic, I've decided to challenge myself with sticking to the canon timeline (as much as I want to/I'm going add bits in of my own to alter the timeline) and keeping the characters as canon as possible (but there will still be OOC moments for the sake of plot and where I want to take this fic.)
This was inspired very much so by my rewatching episodes and feeling so much empathy and pain for Sasuke's character that I felt like I was doing him an injustice by disregarding who he was completely. (Literally my weak ass can't even handle heartbreak from a stupid fuck boy, tell me how an eight-year-old boy can survive a pain such as what he had to suffer. I can't even fathom! Ah!) Granted, I mostly have written itasaku fics but now will be different - I'll try my hardest to keep Sasuke's feelings and his pain and everything as canon as possible however this IS a SasuHina fic so of course not shit's not gon b canon anyway lmao. (DUH I only write crack hahaha)
Anyway, so - expect changes to Hinata's character (eg: personality-wise, thought process etc) as well as Sasuke, and plot. Usually I like to form Sakura and Ino in ways that distance from canon since I find them unbelievably insufferable in their genin days however unfortunately - they will be Sasuke fanatics per canon. (ugh) Hinata and Naruto interaction will be very altered as well as with Sasuke and the others.
I title this part "BOOK 1" as I plan to separate it into parts of their lives. However, depending how quickly I complete BOOK 1: GENNIN depends on the continuation. Hm. I'm getting way ahead of myself but hey! It's good to have aspirations lmao.
I've been very iffy about posting this one and I can't help but feel a little embarrassed. Either way, if you're reading this I've clearly gathered the confidence!
