Max's POV

Usually, when you tell your family that you're getting married they explode with joy.

Your mother screams in joy and before you know it, she's already planning the whole thing with your fiance.

Your brothers throw you the goddamn best bachelor party you could imagine. If you don't have brothers, I suggest cousins.

Anyway, your dad asks to meet your soon to be wife's family.

It's all just one big happy family. It's definitely not the jaw dropping faces in front of me.

"You what?" Alec chocked breaking the ice.

"Finally!" Mom shrieked hugging me so tight I couldn't breath. "Am gonna be a grandmother!"

She said what? I pulled out of her death grip and tried to make things clear-er. "Mom, Kelly's not pregnant_"

"Yet!" Mom butted in with stars in her eyes. There's no stopping her, now.

"Who is this Kelly and why am I hearing of her now?" Noah asked massaging his head as if we were giving him a migraine.

"Kelly? The...Kelly who came here when we had dinner with the Kents?" Dad asked sitting across from me with a genuine smile on his face. Is he happy...for me?

"Yeah," I nodded feeling sweaty from lying, "that's the one am gonna marry."

"Again who is this Kelly?!" Noah yelled pissed that no one was minding him.

Alec snorted. "You'll see her," he trailed off thoughtful, "she's a true beauty. I'm surprised she's willing to marry our Max over here."

"The fuck you mean?" the hell's wrong with him? "She agreed to tie the knot with me so, what's your problem?"

"Me?" He pointed to himself. "Nothing's wrong with me."

He's going to be a problem.  If I want to marry Kelly in peace, him and I need to have a man to man talk.
