Sup people, please please vote for this story. Man, the views are crazy...thanks a lot for that. Kelly's dress at her engagement party, hot.

Max's POV

Shove.

Shake. Whoever you are, let me sleep.

"Max, wake up please." I opened one eye to find a smiling Kelly haunched over trying to wake me. Her smile, though.

"I admit that there's no better feeling than seeing your face first thing in the morning but, why did you wake me?"

She held my vibrating phone blinding me with the light of the screen. Mom was calling.

"Thanks." She nodded with a smile then left as I answered.

"Hey mom." I mumbled.

"Do you ever answer your phone, I've been calling you for the last half hour." She is not happy.

"Sorry, I was asleep. So what's so urgent that you called so much?" I checked the time on the alarm on my nightstand, 10:56.

She sighed on the other end of the line. From the sound of it, it must be something important.
"Your engagement party is tonight Maximilian and you're sleeping?!" She yelled rendering my right ear deaf.

"Uhm okay, I thought you were taking care of it so what's the big deal?" I'll never understand women.

"Get your lazy ass up and start acting like a grown man who is about to get married. Anyway, I called to see if you and Kelly would join us for lunch. I don't want either of you being late at your own party so am keeping my eye on you two for now."

"Okay, we'll be there in a while." There's no point in arguing with her, one can never win.

Even though mom had said something around 'only family and close friends' it looked nothing like what I expected. There were people everywhere decorating the back yard of the house. I was starting to regret letting my mother plan all this out.

"Wow, it's uh crazy here." Kelly mumbled beside me me. She was clearly uncomfortable with the way the party was turning out to be.

"Don't you two look so cute together." We turned to see mom watching our joined hands with a grin. She hugged Kelly then kissed my cheek.

"Hi mom. It's a little too hectic out here, are you sure it's not our wedding you planned?" Kelly tried to keep herself from laughing when mom punched my shoulder.

She has a hell of right hook. "I was just kidding mom, you really outdid yourself."
