~Previously~

I shot up running my hand through the tangled, sweaty mess, and when I lowered it my mind was swimming with endless thoughts but it was then I heard three voices outside my door. I frowned and clicked my fingers making me still look like I had woken up but not as if I had woken up from a wet dream about a certain sea god...

When I had finished I slowly walked to my door unlocking it; only to be greeted by Poseidon, Hades and my father. "Can you guys talk any louder?" I spoke leaning against my door frame. "I'm sorry for waking you up." My father spoke before he entered my palace. I sighed and invited the others in before I sat on my bed. "What is this about father?" I spoke. My father sighed and I bit my lip as Poseidon glared at him and Hades looked fearful. "Athena I have taken away your maiden oath..."

~Now~

I sat there processing the words that my father had just uttered. "What?" My father sighed, and the tears fell down my face. "Hades please tell him he can't do this." I spoke, but he simply shook his head no, and it was then I grew desperate. "Poseidon." He slowly stood up and wrapped me in a hug before he walked to the bed. He sat me on his lap, whispering in my ear...
"I'm sorry Athena." My father spoke, but I ignored him. "He wants you safe, we all do and Zeus being Zeus thinks this is the only way." He whispered, once again. I nodded and turned to my father. "Do I get to choose who I marry?" My father looked away, and my anger flared. "DO I GET TO CHOOSE?!"

Poseidon grabbed my chin and turned me to face him, and when I looked at him, he shook his head no, a tear slipped out of his eyes. "I'm sorry." I frowned before it clicked. "I have to marry you don't I?" He nodded yes, and I turned my body so I was straddling him. "What do we do?" I spoke as I placed my forehead to his. "I don't know." He spoke, before looked away.
Hades coughed. "We'll leave you two to talk." He spoke grabbing my father and pulling him out.

I licked my lips and Poseidon turned to me. "I promise we will go slow." He spoke. I nodded and slowly he stood up placing me on the bed. He moved my hair and kissed my forehead. "Sleep and we'll talk tomorrow." I nodded and watched as he slowly left.

Once he had I drew closer to myself and slowly closed my eyes, the tears falling down my face. But as I slept, I dreamed of our relationship and what that led too.
I watched in horror as I laid in Apollo's temple screaming as Poseidon held my hand. Icore oozed everywhere but that did matter what mattered was Apollo opening the bulge of my stomach, causing me to scream in agony once more. "Please..." I don't know what was I pleading for but I listened to the soothing words Hera spoke in my ear, as I screamed once more. The dream fazed out and I know found the line of foes advancing on me through the shroud-like mist. I could see their dark  eyes glinting with desire, lusting for the kill. Their lips pulled back over their sharp, wet teeth – some to snarl, some to smile.

I heard the child behind me whimper, but I couldn't turn to look at him. Though I was desperate to be sure that he was safe, I could not afford any lapse in focus now.

They ghosted closer, the titan's black robes billowing slightly with the movement. I saw their hands curl into bone-coloured claws. They started to drift apart, angling to come at us from all sides. We were surrounded, and we were going to die.

And then, like a burst of light from a flash, the whole scene was different. Yet nothing changed – the titan's still stalked toward us, poised to kill. All that really changed was how the picture looked to me. Suddenly, I was hungry for it. I for them to charge. The panic changed to bloodlust as I crouched forward, a smile on my face, and a growl ripped through my bared teeth, my spear glistened in the dying sunlight, but Poseidon stood besides me and smirked, his trident already glistening with blood...

I jolted upright, shocked out of the dream. Why I had dreamed this I knew not, But moments later, a knock sounded on my door and I opened it to see Poseidon...A frown was etched on his face, but it vanished quickly as he spoke to me in concern. "Are you okay, you were screaming?" I nodded and slowly let him in, hoping to find comfort. "I'm fine just a bad dream, that is all." He nodded and slowly walked to my bed. "Would you like to talk about it?" I shook my head no and slowly sat besides him. We talked after that but I did fall back into the world of slumber, in Poseidon's arms...

Again, I shot up, waking Poseidon as I did so. "Athena what..?" he spoke sleepily, but I frowned and turned closer to him, once again the dream of the child came back. "Nothing just a bad dream, that is all." He nodded and moved my hair away from my face. "You want to talk about?" I shook my head no and clung to him for dear life, once again. It wasn't that I was scared of it, no I was just scared about the child, something about me wanted to protect him, and to never stop until he was safe.

I felt Poseidon turn to look at the clock, before I heard him speak. "How about we go for the day?" He spoke drawing my attention away from my thoughts. But in answer to his question, I smiled at his change of subject, truly grateful and slowly, I sat up and walked towards my wardrobe. "Mortal world or Olympus?"
