Scents of dampened wood and mildew filled her senses. Rain could be heard bouncing off the roof, and the floor beneath her felt cold against her skin. The sunlight that streamed through the cracks in the walls blinded her through her closed eyelids.
She sat up with a gasp and clutched at her throat, that felt so parched it was like it was on fire - her thirst was unreal. A stinging sensation filled her mouth, as she physically felt her incisors grow, to be as sharp as razors.
Her squinted eyes took in her surroundings, and she realised she was in an abandoned building: she could tell because it looked like it hadn't been used in years.
On shaky legs, she attempted to stand, and after a few tries she succeeded, albeit being a little unsteady.
Ignoring the pain that the sun brought, she frantically ran outside and had to cover her face with her arms. To her surprise, she found the sun didn't turn her to dust - it was just a little uncomfortable, like something prickling within her body.
Sounds of traffic on the main road told her that she wasn't too far from civilisation, and she had to force herself to not run in that direction.
Then different scents invaded her and took over her mind. Her eyes turned a darker shade of red; red like the blood she so desperately wanted. The scents swirled around her, and her whole body became a frenzy of emotion, with only one that stood out the most - hunger.
She slowly turned around, frightening the poor humans that were coming towards the place she now stood. They had been laughing and talking, without realising what it was they were walking into.
At that moment, (y/n) forgot everything else, even herself, and jumped out in front of the group of teenagers.
"Hey, lady! Are you okay?" one of the braver teens asked. He held out an arm that he intended to place on her shoulder, but the next thing he felt was an excruciating pain.
His arm had been ripped from the shoulder, and his own blood now coated the shocked teens.
(y/n) flung the arm in the churning waters that ran along where they were. Before the teens even knew what was going on, they were all gone from this world.
Blood streamed down her chin and soaked her clothes in their bloody redness, and that was when she came back to her senses.
Her eyes widened at the gruesome sight before her, and it took a moment for it to sink in. Did she just do that? Hysterical laughter escaped past her lips, and she held her shaking hands to her face, adding to the blood that already coated it.
She had to get out of there... She needed to go somewhere far away.
With tears pooling in her eyes, she disappeared from the scene.

It was a dark, sombre, and cold night. Everything was quiet at the dockyard, apart from the sounds of the waves that crashed against the rocks.
A shadowy figure could be seen lazily making their way to the abandoned building. He was of tall stature, with black hair that blended in with the dark background that was the night sky, and his red eyes were the only source of light, as they shone against the blackness of it all.
A smirk painted his face as he took in the scene, that was yet to be discovered by humans. Body parts were strewn across the wooden floorboards, and blood mixed in with the waters, staining everything else red.
He had only been gone for a week, and this is what had happened while he wasn't present... He stepped over the mass of body parts and took a look in the building, seeing that she was no longer there.
Sighing, he went back outside and caught a whiff of her scent. Looks like he's going to have to find her...
