Toxic addiction
Presents ones self as harmless
As a simplistic breeze on a summers day
It's exterior magnificent
While its interior rots with
Morbid inclinations
Toxic addiction
Does not yell
Nor shout
Instead calmly resides within ones soul
Awaiting the moment
In which the odour
Graduates into one so malevolent
It drifts into the noses of bystanders
Toxic addiction
Beats at the heart
Demolishing
Destroying
Dishevelling
All signs of sanity
Without knowledge you lack
To comprehend
That you are the occupant of
Toxic addiction
It controls you
As you become all things
Toxic and addictive.
