Young love:
Prologue:
I am standing on a beach. Alone.
I try to find someone, but I can't.
Just can't.
I am still looking, when suddenly a castle appears in front of me.
The castle looks magnificent.so, I decide to go inside. Hoping that I don't get into any kind of trouble.
As I enter the castle, everyone stops talking and look at me. As if I am some statue being presented in any museum.
"Good morning, prince" they greet me in chorus.
So I am the prince eh? I think as I choke down a chuckle and make my way through the crowd.
Well, not really as everyone clears the way as they see me. And to my surprise it's a pretty huge crowd.
I look around. I don't know what, but my eyes are longing to desperately see someone.
I stop as I see her.
Actually, I can't see her properly as her mouth is covered with a white silk cloth. But I can see her eyes. And believe me. That's enough.
She has blue twinkling eyes and black-pure black hair. From what I can see she has a pale white skin.
And I can bet on anything that she is beautiful.
I can't stop myself as I go in towards her.
But I don't know why, She runs as she sees me.
"Stop! Please stop!" I shout but she acts as if she can't listen and keeps on running.
I don't know how, or why.
The scene changes.
I don't even bother to look around as I reach her and grab her arm, before she can run further.
She turns and looks at me. As, of course she has no other choice.
As she looks at me, I notice that she was crying.
Oh, so that's why her eyes were twinkling. I thought.
Automatically, my hand reaches to wipe the tear from her face.
But, as I wipe the tear. It turns to something else, some red sticky liquid.
Blood.
"Leave me alone". She says in a melodious voice.
I don't know why, I never met her. But I just can't leave her alone here. Her face, her face tells that she is in pain. Intense pain.'
"Look around, you don't deserve to be here. You don't belong here." She says again.
I don't know, but it hurts me. Really hurts me.
"No, I'll stay here. With you." I argue.
Her facial expression softens.
"No, look around. You would never want to be here, in a place like this." She insists.
"No" I disagree, but I take a look around.
It's dark here. Strange. Because where we are standing, there's light. But she is right. The place is suffocating. I wouldn't want to be here. Nobody would.
No, I'll stay here with her. I think.
I look at her. "I will stay here, with you. Always. Because you are my princess." I say shyly.
She looks at me, her eyes are twinkling.
"Don't cry." I say before a tear could slip down her cheeks.
She smiles. "I won't'. She promises me.
"Do you mean it, really?" she asks me, looking hopeful.
"Really" I confirm.
"Always?" she asks again.
"Always" I repeat.
We were silent for a moment. It was a comforting silence though.
''Can you show me your face?' I ask, breaking the silence.
She doesn't speak. Instead she starts removing the cloth.
But, something strange happens.
A white light starts appearing around her. Covering her. Separating us.
"No, don't go away" I plead. As I try to reach for her hand.
But I can't.
Just can't.
"NO, please no" I plead again.
And suddenly, as if listening to me, the light disappears.
The light has gone, with her.
I can't see her. She is not here.
'No! Come back" I cry. No.
This can't happen.
Just can't.
She is gone. Far away, from me. From everyone.
I was crying, when I noticed a swan.
I bend down and look at the swan. And to my surprise. The swan has the same eyes as her.
"Erik, Erik honey wake up" someone's calling my name. Some woman.
I don't know what was happening, but my vision starts blurring.
And suddenly, everything went black.
***
I felt someone shaking me, squeezing my shoulder.
I open my eyes to see mom, looking worried.
"Oh, thank god!" she says, looking relieved.
"WH-what happened?" I ask, confused.
"You were shouting and crying in your sleep." She says.
Sleep?
That is when it hit me.
It was a dream.
It was ALL a dream.
