It had been three months since the incident with Ember and her ex boyfriend and today, Shawn was arriving so the two could start working on their duet together.
Shawn and Ember were struggling with the song, unsure of how to put the words together when Ember sighed and spoke out.
"I think I know why we are having trouble."
"Why?" Shawn questioned with confusion etched on his face.
"I'm just gonna say it and you're probably gonna judge me and hate me but I'm hoping me saying it rather than thinking it will do something or it'll make it awkward but whatever," Ember began to ramble. "I think you're cute and I think I like you more than in a friend way and I know you probably don't feel the same way and now this is really awkward and crap I don't-"
Ember stops speaking as Shawn cuts her off by kissing her. She's frozen for a second thinking it's a dream before she begins to kiss back. When it comes to a stop, they stare at each other in shock by what just happened.
"What'd you do that for?" Ember whispers.
"I had to stop your rambling somehow. Besides, I've been wanting to do that for awhile."
"Well, uh, what does this mean for us?"
"Let me take you out on a date."
"Are you sure you want to? I mean I'm a mess when it comes to relationships."
"I'm more than sure," Shawn responds to Ember before pressing his lips towards hers once again.
"We should probably start writing now," Ember says softly as she pushes herself off of Shawn.
