Robin ran his hands down Marin’s bare chest, leaning down to suck on the red-head’s neck and earning a moan from the teenager beneath him. The two boys were in Robin’s room, making out just like they did every Wednesday afternoon after school. The problem with living in an overly religious community was that the two could never reveal that they were gay. Marin had a ‘girlfriend’ two keep up pretences, but Robin was fine being single.

Marin and Robin weren’t dating; they’d established that with each other when they agreed to help each other out and act as a stress reliever for the other. They were purely there for the chance to be themselves.

Pulling away, Robin smiled down at Marin, tucking a strand of his own red-brown hair out of his face and pecking the smaller boy’s lips. “My parents will be home soon,” he said, not moving from his position above Marin and kissing the boy’s lips again. “You might want to leave.”

The younger boy merely groaned and wrapped his arms around Robin’s neck. “I really don’t want to go. Can’t you just tell them we’re doing homework together?” He tugged Robin’s head down to crush their lips together, making Robin moan in response.

“I could,” Robin agreed, pulling back again. “But you’ll have to put a shirt on first.”

“Fine,” Marin huffed, rolling off the bed to reach for his light purple t-shirt and tug it over his head. “You owe me for this, though.”

Robin eyed the large bruise on Marin’s back and stood up from his place on the bed to circle his arms around the red-head’s waist. “Did those guys attack you again? Your back is practically a rainbow.”

Marin grimaced, turning to face Robin. “Is it really that bad?”

Lifting the boy’s shirt again, Robin gazed at the green and purple splotch that seemed to be about the size of a large tennis ball. “Yeah,” he confirmed. “It’s pretty bad.”

“They said that since I’m a ‘fag’ I should show my true colours.” He smiled sadly. “Get it? It’s a rainbow; for gays.”

“I get it, Marin,” Robin interrupted before Marin could continue. “I know. A similar thing happened to Sam.”

Marin’s smile faded and he sighed in defeat. “Another one of the boys you help?” He asked, letting Robin guide him back to the bed.

“Do you have a problem with me doing this with other guys?” Robin asked, tracing circles into Marin’s hips with his thumbs.

The boy shook his head. “Not at all. You’re able to make me not want to kill myself. Other guys in this town need to be shown that there is someone who cares.” Marin brushed Robin’s long fringe back from his face and kissed his nose. “You’re their hero.” A smile broke out onto his face. “Just as long as you don’t give them AIDS,” he added as a joke, earning a light slap in the arm.

“I don’t have AIDS,” Robin said, sharing Marin’s cheeky smile. “Besides, you’re the one who wants to remain a virgin until you graduate.” With that, Robin, too, was slapped.
