Later that evening, as he pulled up to Anastasia's house, he took a moment to figure out what he was going to say. They had to move, and it couldn't be to Washington. Julian knew her college, knew the town, and would easily be able to track them once he got out. No, they need to go somewhere else, anywhere else. As he walked up the driveway he noticed her parents must be back, he had never met them before as he wanted to keep himself distanced from Julian in their minds. He knocked on the door and waited until she answered, she had been crying again and quickly made her way outside and shut the door behind her.

"You don't want me to meet them do you?" Eric asked solemnly. He understood after Julian, but it still hurt.

"What? Oh, no it's nothing like that. I just need to get away from them. It's nothing but a constant stream of I told you he was no good for you and I can't stand it any longer. I mean, they were right but they could be slightly more sensitive." she blurted out angrily, and he had a feeling she had already been on her way to storm out when he had happend to show up. Despite the pink tinged eyes and splotches of pink across her cheeks she looked beautiful today, always beautiful, in another one of her band shirts and jean shorts. Her hair was loose and fell in ringlets around her face. She smiled when she saw him, which made his chest feel like his heart was trying to escape its cage.

"Well then let's get you out of here" he smiled and she let him lead her to his car. He opened the door for her and she slid in the passenger seat. As he was buckling himself in he asked, "So where are we off to?".

"To the jail." she replied casually, "it's time for me to see Julian.". Eric sputtered, shocked momentarily at the suddenness of the request.

"But it's only been a week. Are you sure you're ready to see him?" he didn't want her seeing him yet. It hadn't been long enough, if she looked in his eyes it would be all over, all would be forgiven. Plus Eric already had another hard topic to bring up with her today, moving.

"It's been long enough. I'm tired of being angry and of blaming myself, I need to hear what he has to say." She looked into his eyes, she seemed to know exactly what he wanted and be so completely innocent at the same time, "Don't worry," she whispered, "I won't forgive him. But I want closure. I understand if you don't want to come with me. I'm sorry, I shouldn't have assumed" she continued hurriedly as her cheeks flushed with more color. She was already undoing her seatbelt when Eric grabbed her arm and held both her hands in his like he did their first night together. Eric had stayed the night with her every night for the rest of that week, and had been continuing to sneak in every night since her parents got home. Always giving her plenty of space, only keeping her warm and safe through the night, with the exception of the that first night where he held her close.

She paused to look at her hands in his, Eric caught his breath realizing he had gone too far, but she didn't pull away. Instead she looked into his eyes and whispered, "Thank you".
