She closes her eyes,
remembers the men in her life.

The one who taught her how to walk,
fondly about him she shall always talk.

The one who taught her how to fight,
he helped her to figure what's wrong and what's right.

The one who taught her of friendship,
memories of him she shall always keep.

She opens her eyes smiling, smiling at  how they made her life worth living.

She closes her eyes again, thinking not just of happiness but also pain.

She was too small to understand what was wrong, how some men could be so different from the ones she had known.

He definitely had bad intentions, this she knew despite her age limitation.

She ran from there as fast as her small legs could allow, but her childhood was never the same in the days to follow.

No, she didn't talk about it to anyone, she kept silent and all she ever did was run.

That single person was enough to change her mind, she never looked the same way at mankind.

She opens her eyes still smiling,
smiling coz she was brave enough to survive it all.

She doesn't close her eyes again, she doesn't need to.
She simply looks beside and smiles at the love of her life.

There he lies sleeping as uncomfortably as possible, snoring so lightly that it was barely audible.

She kisses his forehead and forgets the pain, coz he was the one who taught her to love again.
