Dan's POV:

I can feel breath swirling around my nostrils, as I gently inhale and exhale to the steady beating of the heart machine. A feeling so odd, yet so familiar. I am conscious, yet paralysed. I can see flashes of light, as people in lab coats move around me. I am awake, yet strapped to a bed, with thick leather restraints. Beady eyes stare down at me, as a gloved finger pulls out a tube, causing he rhythmic beating to create one dull constant tone, and the heart machine to flat line, I gasp and gasp, desperate for air...

"*gasp*"  my eyes shoot open, as a loud alarm sounds nearby. I cannot even gasp for oxygen, my mouth just remains permanently open, lips slowly turning blue, I desperately want to claw at my neck to try and start breathing again, but I am reminded of my disability. I can feel a huge pulsating in my neck and throat from lack of air, and I can feel my cheeks slowly swelling.

Suddenly my door is thrown open, a dazed Phil comes racing towards my bed as I still struggle for consciousness.

Within an instant, he has reconnected a tube that had broken apart, and the alarm ceased. I gasped for the air that I could now breath once again, hardly able to contain steady breaths.

Phil leans back, taking ragged breaths and trying to calm himself down.
He looks at me with concern and murmurs,"Thank god your okay",

He then leans down and wipes the tears I didn't even know were running down my face, and reassures me with a "it's okay now Dan, your safe now", the whole ordeal left me exhausted, falling into a deep sleep whilst Phil gently stroked my sweaty hair...
