What if I told you,
A girl that you knew was lost.
Hearing her strength fade away.
Having cold, blue sleepless nights. What if I told you,
That girl that you knew was tired.
Tired of feeling broken, damaged, worthless, never good-enough, pain.
The urge to not breathe.
The anger of just leaving. What if I told you,
This girl that you knew was hurting.
Too painful for her to sleep.
The thought of those words,
The temptation of giving the voices what they want. What if I told you,
A girl that you knew was giving up, The lying she had to do so people won't know.
The voices sound like sirens, but not coming to help her.
The thought to drown was strong.
Her memories we slowly being forgotten. What if I told you,
That girl that you knew was slowly falling. Falling into cold crystal water.
Wanting to go under and not get back up.
Just to end everything that has happened. What if I told you, This girl that you knew was really me.
The only thing that was stopping me to not put my head under.
Is two people standing behind me,
Watching me like eagles.
The through of my parents losing their last child,
The fear of them finding out. What if I told you,
The girl that you knew is not really all gone.
Just want to start over.
To have the voices leave.
I won't the sirens to fade away.
