Nobody's Point of View

The shrill beeping of Evelyn's alarm clock blared into her ears as the clock hit five in the morning. Evelyn let out a whine, flipping over and snaking her arm out of the covers and snatching up her phone, tapping snooze. She let out a grunt as she flipped onto her other side once again, closing her eyes as she prepared to go back to sleep.

"Evelyn! Get your sorry ass up," Her mother shouted from the bottom of the stairs.

Evelyn huffed angrily, but held her tongue. She grabbed her phone, turning off the alarm. She threw the covers onto the floor, walking over to her dresser. She grabbed underwear, a bra, a plain blue T-Shirt, and black tights.

She walked out of her room and into the bathroom, shutting the door and locking it behind her. She placed her clothes on the counter and crouched, opening a cabinet and taking out two towels. She placed them on top of her clothes.

Slowly, Evelyn peeled off her pajamas and turned on the shower, feeling the temperature before getting in. The cold water showered down onto her back, instantly waking her up. Her teeth began to chatter, but she chose to ignore it, continuing to open a shampoo bottle and pour the sweetly-scented soap onto her hand. She scrubbed her hair until her scalp began to hurt before she stepped back into the water, letting the soap be washed out of her hair. She shivered under the cold water, which beat gently against her bare skin.

As she let the soap be washed out of her hair, she poured body wash onto a scrubby and washed herself.

After she had finished her shower, Evelyn turned off the water and stepped out of the shower, grabbing her towel and leaning over, wrapping it around her hair. She wrapped a towel around her body as well and grabbed her clothes, clutching her towel tightly.

She poked her head out of the bathroom, looking down both hallways before darting out and running into her room. She shut the door behind her, locking it quickly.

Quickly, she dried her body off with the towel and dressed into her new clothes, letting the towel holding her hair up fall. Her long, blonde hair cascaded down her back, tangled in some places.

Evelyn grabbed her dark gray hoodie and pulled it over her head, wanting to cover up all of her curvy spots. She felt self-conscious whenever there was a discussion about her body. Evelyn wanted to avoid any conversation about herself today.

Evelyn hugged her mother briefly before exiting the car and trudging into the large building. She sighed, tugging at her bookbag's straps gently, anxiety building up in the pit of her stomach as she felt gazes burn into the side of her face. She wrapped her arms around her torso consciously, as if it would make her disappear.

Evelyn's Point of View

I walked through the hallway, my arms wrapped tightly around my torso. The voices spoke to me, mimicking me.
