Chapter one.

"Ali! Are you done packing?" I heard my mothers sweet but tired voice say.

"Yeah mom! I can drive to the airport by myself... It's way too early for you to be up! It's like 3:30.." I said clearly, knowing my mom was too tired to drive back alone.

"I'm fine! I'm wide awake, and the airports only like thirty minutes away!" I argued, knowing she was too tired to fight back for long.

"Honey, you wouldn't mind if I fell asleep would you?" My sweet fragile mom was so innocent.

"Not at all! I'll call you when I land." I whispered while embracing her in a tight hug.

"I love you." She kissed my cheek and walked upstairs to her bed.

I sighed as I called my best friend, Kailey, to see where she was. I knew she would be late, because she always was. "Hey!" Kailey answered in her cheerful voice.

"Hey dude, where are you at?" I said, expecting her to barely be leaving her house.

"Actually... funny story..." She laughed nervously.

"Go on..." I replied, listening more carefully.

"So I was looking for my camera, and I couldn't find it anywhere, so I checked my car and it still wasn't there! So I went to my back yard and I found it on the ground..." She trailed off, breathless from explaining in one whole breath.

"And?" I said, sounding worried.

"It was cracked..." She replied in a low voice.

"Kailey! What was your camera doing outside anyway?!" I shrieked. I knew that Kailey's camera meant the world to her! See, ever since we were little, we wanted to be models, so we decided L.A. would be the fastest way to get into a modeling job.

"I think my little brother got ahold of it. Anyways, I'm like two minutes from your house, I'll see you soon." She said after a long pause.

I hung up and grabbed my as many bags as I could. Before I knew it there was a knock on my door. I don't know why Kailey even knocked, she always came in on her own anyway.

"What's up?" She giggled, grabbing more of my bags.

"Not much, hey what time does our flight leave?" I questioned.

"Five thirty."

I looked at the clock. It was four.

So we drove to the airport and waited until it was time to get on the plane.

When we were finally on the plane, I got super nervous. I had never been on an airplane before, and I was super claustrophobic.

Sadly, my seat wasn't by Kailey, so I had to deal with it by myself.

I got a window seat. I was staring outside until I heard someone settling down beside me. It was a young guy, around my age (so 18-19) and he was very attractive. His hair was really clean cut, and his style was very attractive. He had green eyes, and perfect white pearly teeth.

I smiled slightly and continued to look outside the window. "Hey, are you okay?" I heard an unfamiliar voice say.

"Uh yeah.. why?" I answered curiously.

"You just look kinda pale.." He said, sounding a little concerned.

"Oh really? Actually, it's my first time on a plane so..." I replied sheepishly.

"Oh! I bet your nervous! Well if you need anything to keep you busy, I'm here." He flashed a cheesy smile.

"Thanks, what's your name?" I asked curiously.

"Josh, what's yours?" He smiled. He was good at eye contact but I just kept smiling and looking down.

"I'm Ali." I giggled.

And the rest of the eight hours flew by. He kept me distracted the whole time!

When it was time to get off the plane, I thanked Josh for keeping me distracted, and than he asked for my number.

"Yo Ali!" I heard Kailey yell. "Who was that cutie you were just talking to?!" She giggled.

"His name was Josh." I replied shyly.

"He's so cute! Did you get his number?" Her eyes lit up.

"Yeah," I smiled, "hey what time is it?" I changed the subject.

"It's noon girly." She answered, not even noticing that I changed the subject.

We headed over to our new apartment.

When we walked inside, it was perfect. Even though me and Kailey had to share a room, everything else was perfect. The tile floors were gorgeous! And we had a great kitchen! Everything was perfect.
