Hecate's Blessed

Chapter 3

In the Great Hall the demigods awkwardly followed Dumbledore, very much aware that the whole hall was staring at them. Dumbledore told them to wait for another professor in the front. They hovered for about three minutes before an older lady (cause I'm not rude) walked in holding a small stool and an old battered witches hat.

"That seat it tiny," Leo whispered.

"Don't worry. The drop won't be that bad for you, since your already down there," August, who is 6'0, responded. (used that on my friend)

The group of demigods accidentally bust out laughing, which earned them confused looks. Dumbledore cleared his throat drawing their attention to him and not their midget friend, who August was using as an armrest.

"Each of you will put on the hat and bee sorted into one of the four houses,"

The Lady cleared her throat. "Brunner, Calypso." After about twenty seconds the hat shouted 'Gryffindor'. Annabeth was called after Calypso sat. She was sorted into Ravenclaw almost immediately. Once Annabeth sat and the applauds stopped the lady called Nico's name. After thirty seconds he was sorted into Slytherin. Jason was called next and sorted into Gryffindor. He sat across from Calypso and glared at the boy flirting with her, for Leo's sake. Percy was sorted into Hufflepuff. Hazel sat beside Calypso, in the spot the boy vacated, when she was sorted. Piper also went to Gryffindor and sat on Calypso's other side. Reyna joined Annabeth in Ravenclaw. When she sat, she told off a boy flirting with Annabeth, since Percy was seconds away from darting across the hall. Kayla joined them shortly. August joined Nico in Slytherin then laughed at the fact that a girl was flirting with him and said boy looked uncomfortable. Leo joined in the laughing when he joined a few seconds later. Lastly Frank joined Percy in Hufflepuff and helped him get a girl off him.

Something worth mentioning. You should have seen Frank in the chair. I mean Percy, Jason and, August looked awkward but Frank is such a giant teddy bear. Sorry I'm done.

Trough out the meal the demigods kept pretty much to themselves and communicated in Latin or Greek, they took the time in the ship to learn how to speak both languages. They seemed pretty wired to the wizards and witches. Especially since they were telling hilarious anecdote and bust out laughing. Like the awkward moment when August met Nike. Take in account that he usually wears an Adidas hat and watch. She didn't say anything about it but Leo and Percy saw it as hilarious and it became an inside joke within the crew. Just say Nikidas and they're dead. 

Gryffindor girls dorms, fifth year (because most of the demigods are in this year)

Three extra beds were added and the room was expanded. Hazel, Calypso and Piper were sitting on one of the empty beds discussing, in Greek, their mission. Then the Fifth years came in. A blonde girl gave them a look and went to the adjoining  bathroom. The three shared a look and rolled their eyes. They were telling the story of Kayla rainbow coloring Nico on a dare when a bushy haired girl walked up to them.

"Hi. I'm Hermione."

"Hello. I'm Piper. This is Hazel and Calypso."

"What language are you speaking?" 

"Greek. It's a requirement at our school, so is Latin," Hazel answered, following the story they came up with the day they left.

"Are you trading secrets or something?" Hermione asked.

"No just talking about our friend Kayla turned the spooking looking boys clothes rainbow colored," Piper snickered.

"You can join in, but we can't explain our inside jokes. Those are strictly for us," Calypso offered.

"Nikidas," Piper mumbled which earned laughs.

"Don't worry we won't mention the jokes," Hazel reassured her.

"Your uniforms are cool. I didn't know wizard schools used muggle shoe brands," 

"Our headmaster is a Muggleborn," Calypso coolly responded.

They sat on the bed trading stories for a while, well after their roommates fell asleep.

"Why are your shirts different?" one of their roommates asked after she got up to go to the bathroom.

"They represent what magic we are able to do wandless and silently." 

"Really?" she gasped.

Calypso nodded and turned into a dove then back. Piper made a stream of water come from the bathroom and spin like a ribbon. Hazel apologized and said she couldn't do magic in the so far away from the ground, choosing not to reveal her control of the mist.

The girls went to sleep a few minutes later.
