THE director sat opposite of two men, though a permanent harsh gaze was sent towards one of them.
Anthony Jackson. Making a disapproving noise towards Anthony before he finally looked at the other one.
Lockie Knight. He then smiled sly towards Anthony before handing a file towards Lockie. Knowing that smile made Anthony uneasy as something never good comes from that smile.
With a serious tone, the director, Samuel got to business "There are mysterious deaths happening around different parts of town. Some teams have checked it out, but I want you guys to personally investigate it. Got it"
Nodding their head, "But, due to Anthony not being in case for a while-" a while Anthony thought. That's putting it lightly. He hasn't been on a case for two years because of that mistake.
"Knight would be leading the case would that be alright for you, Jackson" making sure that he uttered Jackson name bitterly.
Anthony shoot his head towards Lockie and the director, now knowing exactly why he felt uneasy about that smile. But he knew one thing, the director liked a reaction and that something he wasn't going to give to him.
So with a wide, fake smile and a sweet voice. "Of course, that would be alright." Motherfucker he thought to himself.
The director narrowed his eyes at Anthony. Scoffing he turned the other way, going back to shuffling papers.
Lockie looked between them two men with confused face, he heard rumors around the building that there were something going on between them. But he never thought it was this childish.
That's when Anthony eyes glanced at him with a look that he couldn't identify with, but sending a fleeting smirk before he got up and walked out with the door slamming behind him.
"You can go" the director said without looking up and a wave of hand. Rolling his eyes, I am not a dog. But nevertheless, getting up and closing the door gently behind him.
Looking up he saw Jenny walking towards him, swaying her hips side to side, he smiled cockily before walking towards her.
Time to find out why they don't like each other.
In the same town, Quinn Ivy sat in a coffee shop. A hot coffee sending wisp of smoke in the air. She sat there, her teeth chipping away at her nails right down to the skin. She wasn't nervous, no it actually helps her think. Though it was a bad habit to have.
And from other people's eyes she was looking straight ahead, daydreaming properly. However, from the corner of her eyes she was concentrated on a particular laughing girl a few tables beside her.
She wasn't interested in her at all at first. Quinn just came here to enjoy a nice cup of coffee and go back to the hotel to continue drawing.
However, when she heard the two girls with her saying her name; Summer and that she liked art. There was nothing to stop Quinn when she had her eyes set on her next victim.
Right then she knew her next charm was going to be a sunflower. Bright and yellow just like her dress. Her blood pumping loudly, she took deep breaths in and out to control herself.
She was going to go to the next town, but that can wait she now needs to have careful planning.
With that she got up and made Quinn made her way towards their table.
"Hi-" the smile she practices graced her lips. This smile was a showcase to her victims that she was polite and trusty worthy woman.
How useful a smile can be.
"- I am an artist, and I am taking over one of the town new attractions which is to teach people about art. I was wondering if you want to join" making sure that she slide the leaflet from her bag on to the center of the table so that all three could see.
Quinn knew that she got her victim hooked, when happiness shined through Summer's eyes as she looked up.
"When and where is it, I will be happy to come along."
Bingo.
