Christmas

This time of the year is a very special time,

Families gather together and Christmas bell chime.

All fighting seems to cease and there is peace in the world,

Love and harmony settles in as all anger is curled.

Loving couples can be found kissing under the mistletoe,

As many other can be seen taking a walk in the snow.

Carolers come along to sing for everyone around,

And in every yard a snowman can be found.

Christmas trees are chosen and decorated to everyone's delight,

As festive lights turn it into a magical sight.

Church gatherings and large dinners bring everyone together to celebrate the holiday,

And everywhere you go everyone has something friendly to say.

Little children try to stay awake to see is Santa is real,

Falling asleep in other mothers' arms full from their Christmas meal.

As gifts as exchanged, joy can be felt in the air,

While everybody tried to show how much they care.

All throughout the day, everybody spreads Christmas cheer,

Keeping the tradition faithful and alive each and every year.
