Dear Jeremy,
I saw you at school today. It looked like you were having a bad day. Is everything okay? You know, I think mrs. Tony is unfair. She gave us so much arithmetic homework! It will be hours before I finish it all. I'm laughing right now, because I am rereading my letter and I realize how boring my life is. You see, my life is pretty plain. My father is a dentist and my mother stays home. I have 2 older sisters, Florence who is 18, and Bethany, who is 16. Then there is me, shy Maryellen who's 15. I have 3 younger brothers who are all pains. My house can get so loud sometimes. I bet you don't have a boring life Jeremy. I bet your life is so exciting it gets tiring. But I mean its 1952! This is the time to create new things and to be "modern". I feel like I'm anything but modern. Ironing clothes isn't exactly "fashionable". I think that should be the end of this letter. I would like to go call Annie, my best friend. I might call Karen Spencer later too. Well, maybe not Karen. She has a crush on you too! Hope you have a better day tomorrow!
Love,
Maryellen A. Cunningham
