Ch. 2; What Happens Tonight

I slowly get out of the car but I rush to the door with all my bags.

"Honey! I'm home!" I
shout while trying not to
laugh

Evie-"Welcome home
sweet heart!"

Layla-"Oh glory, our pride
and joy has returned!"

We all laugh until Evie started talking again

Evie-"So what took
you so long?"

Maya was hesitant. She couldn't tell them that she didn't want to come or that she almost went off road so she was quick to come up with a lie.

Maya-"I had to shower and
then I took a nap."

Layla-"La-ame
excuse Maya." She
fake rolled her eyes

Evie-"Yeah don't be a bi.."

Maya cut her off

Maya-"Evelyn Grace Sanders!"

Evie-"Maya Ann Fletcher!"

Layla-"Come on, can't
we have a little fun?"

Maya-"Yes, but not with
those kinds of words. I
just don't like them."

Evie-"Fine you party pooper."

Layla-"Yeah, but thank
you for not saying
my middle name."

Maya and Evie
together-"You never told
us your middle name."

Layla-"And I'm never gonna!"

They all kept bickering back and forth about Layla Anderson's middle name. Once Maya and Evie finally gave up They moved on to the basic girl sleep over topic... Boys.

The dreaded subject. Maybe it's just me but I'm really bad at expressing my feeling to other people.
I can't lie to them more than I already have and say I don't like anyone, it'd be completely obvious that I'm lying.

Layla-"So Maya, who!"

Maya-"I mean, I kinda like
Zach and Daniel.."

Evie-"Ooh! But that
can't possibly be it."

Layla-"Yeah, so keep 'em coming"

Maya-"Honestly! That's it.
Can we talk about someone
else now?"

Layla-"Well I like Grayson"

Evie-"Ethan's alright."

Evie has this weird smile on her face. There's something she isn't telling us.

Maya-"Evie, I'm calling the
friendship code on you. Is
there something between you
and Ethan that we don't know
about?"

Evie-"The friendship code! I
always forget about it. Dangit. If I
must confess, yes. Ethan and I
have been together for about
2 1/2 days now..."

Layla-"Omg and you
didnt tell us?"

Evie-"Sorry, I didn't know
if it would last this long."
