Chapter three

"Mm.....this is very strange" Ian mutters to himself as he was kneeling down beside the burned circle.

Ian and Jason had been tasked on investigating the strange tremor at the edge of the city. They couldn't find who or what did it, but they could a strange burn circle the cobblestone ground, which was very strange to Ian mostly.

"How is this strange?" Jason asked him, slightly confused. Ian simply pushed his sunglasses up and stood up, "This is man-made" Ian told him, making Jason look at him in surprise, "What?!....how can a person a huge tremor?" Jason questioned him. Ian frowns a bit, "We aren't even sure if it is even a person.....it could be an animal or something that someone created" Ian pointed it out.

Then they started looking around the are, hoping to find some clues.

"Mm....what can leave a mark like this?" Husky asked himself as he was standing over a burned circle at the swap area.

After finding out one of the spots was in the swap biome, Husky immediately headed towards it and started looking around. After the search, he found what he was looking for, but he was slightly confused at the position it was.

Most of the burned circle was in the shallow water with the edge of the circle on the edge of the water.

"This shouldn't be possible..." Husky quietly questions the situation before pulling out a small notebook and quickly wrote down some notes.

"Seto?.....I'm back" Ty called out as he walked in the house and closed the door behind him.

The house was strangely quiet since Ty knew that Seto would normally be in the living room, watching some TV, in the kitchen, cooking some food or in his lab. So he walked to their shared bedroom, still calling out his name. But when he entered the room, he let out a gasp of shock before running to Seto, whom was simply sitting on his knees, blankly looking at the ground, muttering something under his breath.

"Seto!" Ty exclaimed with a worried expression as he kneels down in front of him, gently gripping his shoulders and gently shaking him. And after a few shakes, Seto suddenly snapped out of what he was in and blinks a bit before looking up, seeing Ty. "Ty? When did you get here?" the sorcerer asked him, slightly confused, making the older male confused as well.

"I got here a few minutes ago" Ty answered before telling him what had happened, which made Seto more confused and slightly worried. "I-I don't know why that happened....that never happened to me before" Seto started saying before muttering the rest, trying to figure what had happened, but Ty shook his head, "Don't worry about it Seto, as long as nothing bad happened" the older told him then Seto slowly nodding, agreeing with him.

"Ross what's wrong?" the redhead asked his lover, whom suddenly stopped and the fur of his ears and tail was sticking up with his nose twitching a bit.

Both Ross and Max were walking through the Roofed forest to get to their shared house when Ross suddenly stopped, surprising Max.

"I....smell something....I don't know how to explain it" Ross timidly told Max as he looked around a bit. Max frowns a bit before placing his hand on Ross' hair, softly petting him, "If its something bad then we should hurry back home" Max softly said, which Ross slowly nodding, "Y-Yeah" then the squirrel hybrid moved close to the redhead, whom wrapped his arm around the younger male and both started walking again.

'It was a mixed scent of me and Max....but that shouldn't be possible'
