Inks P.O.V
I heaved myself against the door as I tried to open it, violently fiddling with the door knob. I was anxious to get out of this small, dark room but to no avail. I felt trapped in a tiny box, something I couldn't escape no matter how much I cried out or begged. It was always the same. I don't know how long I've been here seeing how there is no windows, but I lost track of time a while ago.
I slid down the walls and winced to find myself adding pressure against my still healing wounds. I felt like I was going to end up drowning in the darkness if someone didn't pull me out fast then I would be lost forever. My hope only snaked through me little by little while my fear devoured me whole.
I couldn't fight back anymore and I buried my face in my legs trying my hardest to hold back my tears. My stomach fought with me every minute sending rumbled waves in my belly signalling that I was hungry, yet there was nothing to eat.
I counted the drips of water from a broken pipe from the ceiling, the water created a small pool of water that I accidentally slipped on before I went to the door.
1, 2, 3, 4....
The seconds seemed like hours turned to stone...
5, 6, 7, 8....
I didn't know how much longer I could hold before I would feel myself breaking from reality....
9.....
I heard the door to the basement swing open and my head went up startled. Footsteps went down the stairs in a steady beat followed by the gentle rhythm of a soft whistle. The sound kept growing near until it was on the other side of my door. Hesitantly I kept myself in place and even once the door opened all I did was close my eyes shut hoping whoever was there would just turn around and leave....but they didn't.
I stayed in my position unmoving, not really wanting to deal with anyone, but I guess I had no choice as I felt myself being picked up. I was pretty light and small making me easily carried without any problem, which I hated. I still kept my eyes closed even when I was being carried upstairs.
They continued to walk with me in their arms. I could only guess that UnFresh was the one holding me but I didn't care. I don't know why but I felt the need to look around and so I peeked through my fingers only catching glimpse of the red walls.
I didn't understand at all why I was here, why I was taken......why I started hearing voices. I didn't question anything when I started to hear talking even though I knew I was the only one who heard it. It reminded me of Error, when he had those voices nobody could hear and everyone thought he was crazy but I didn't. And now I was in his shoes and heard these voices. Sometimes they were comforting, sometimes annoying, and sometimes they didn't know when they should stop talking.
I was lowered in a chair and when I peeked again I saw the usual features of my wheelchair. I removed my hands from my face and looked up to see UnFresh looking down at me with the same smirk he had when he first brought me here and I wish I could punch that smirk right off his face.
He continued to smirk, "Well today is your lucky, lucky day."
I was confused about what he meant but I let him keep talking, "Me and Error had made a small deal that involves you swapped out with Fresh."
I started to put his words on rerun, involves you swapped out with Fresh.
A small smile creeped from my mouth. That means I'll get to see Error. I felt all cheery inside to just think of seeing Error and Jammy.
Lost in my own thoughts, I soon felt myself getting pushed forward and I looked back at UnFresh. He looked down at me but kept pushing, "Were making the deal right now Ink, but don't worry. This won't be the last time you see me."
I didn't believe what he said. I knew Error would keep me safe. I hated feeling helpless in this stupid wheelchair but....my paintbrush!
"W-where's my paintbrush?"
I heard him chuckle, "Your paintbrush is already with Error. I dropped it off in your room and placed it on your bed so don't worry."
The wheelchair suddenly stopped, "But Ink, if I took you to Error's now then you'll know where this place is and I can't have that..."
He walked around the wheelchair until he was in front of me, "So I guess you'll be in the dark until things are settled between me and Error."
I was confused by what he meant until I felt a small needle pinch my arm and whatever was in it was pushed inside me, "What did you do to me? What was in that needle?"
I felt my vision begin to blur, my eyes became droopy, and I soon began to feel weak.
UnFresh leaned forward until he was centimeters from my face, "It's just only going to let you take a small nap until we arrive to your final destination."
I saw his smile take an evil turn before everything fell dark and I plummeted into a colorless abyss.
