A story about a universe

Chapter 1: The Rise and Fall

 When the universe was born, two things existed within it. In the edges and corners of the universe, the Darkness was born, along with its own creations. In the center, the Light resided. These two sides, never argued, they never clashed, they just left each other to do whatever they wanted. Near the Darkness/Light border, was a small planet that was probably the most important. I dunno, it probably was.

The planet was called "Lighteon." It served as the point that made sure the Darkness wouldn't seep into the Light's domain. The people there, were pretty..okay looking. They had 4 horns, two on each side of the head, one big, one small. Though the horns could only grow up to a size of 4 in. They were blue skinned, white eyed and about stocky bodies. The men had more dulled horns, taller and I guess more stockier. The women had more rounded horns, not as tall and a little bit less stockier.

The people had pretty decent lives on the planet, there really wasn't all that much war, they built some pretty nice things, and they guarded the Light, a big ol' ball of it in the center of their capital city. War? Oh yeah, just because they were the guardians/people of Light doesn't mean they were pitch-perfect-mary/gary sue. They fought an' stuff, usually over which royal family got to be in charge or stuff like that. Wars would end when the Light itself decided "Oy, you guys better stop." And they stopped.

They even had an army, but as you can easily guess, that was to fight off the creatures of Darkness that always said something on the lines of it not being fair that they're trapped in one place and killed for not going others, and something about equal rights? Eh, whatever, they're the bad guys. Their soldiers looked a lil bit cool- but just a lil' bit. They wore pretty big shoulder pads, chestplate, boots all the works. Always had the edges golden with the rest being white, and a big golden center in each armor piece. Y'know to really drive in the fact that they were the chosen army of light. Always walked around, looking important, strong guys - you never messed with those guys.

So, how did a society like this go to the Dogs?

You may think it was their government, it turned pure anarchy

You may think it was the Darkness that became REAL edgy and destroyed them

You may think they found the light to be "bleh" and decided to kill each other

You may think something that i'm not that creative of to think about.

Y'see, just because they were light beings and all that, that didn't mean that they couldn't feel things like Anger, sadness, regret, lust etc. I mean, these dudes were human, just like us. I just can't really mention humans since they have no place in the story yet. Anyways, the Darkness, being the darkness that it is, fed on negativity and all those nasty things. In fact, the- Oh wow, never mentioned the names of these guys on Lighteon huh? They're called the Aarani. Anyways, Aarani conspiracy theorists think that the Darkness caused the wars that they had and all that. I would say something else to go along with this, but that would ruin the story.

Anyways, back to the point- The Darkness saw that one Aarani was overly bitter and overall nasty. Guy thought he should be high-priest of the Light or some cool warrior guy. Maybe even the new champion of the Aarani. Champion? Oh man I really should explain things before I mention them in a big "plot-point". The Aarani had a champion, his name was Teron. He looked cool, pretty nice looking helmet that you looks however you think it looks like. Thinner armor on the shoulders, nothing really on the body, big ol' boots. Gloves, oh and some pretty cool lookin' Wings. Why Wings? Jeez kiddies you guys ever just accept design choices?

Okay, back to the point- The Darkness decided to fuel this guys negative emotions, make him a real big jerk head. Eventually, it got to the point where he decided, that in order to be the true light being..He had to steal the light! (Dramatic music) How could he steal the light though? It wasn't really physical, you couldn't carry it, but you COULD touch it and it would do it's light-magic stuff. He thought, that to become the ultimate Aarani of the Light, he should just..JUMP RIGHT IN!

Man don't you just LOVE those kinds of ideas? Anyways, the guy decided to walk down to the capital, smartly sneaked past/killed a few guards..and jumped right in the Light.

Now, lemme explain the reasons why this is a big NO NO for the Aarani.

-The light will overfill you and you'll explode and the Light could explode to.

That's it, now- every Aarani knows this by heart- even the babies. Why did he not think of it? Pfft, how else do you think we could move the plot along to it's un-planned conclusion? Anyways, instead of making a mess everywhere with his body stuff, the Light was like- "Man, this guy is thinking real dark stuff...pretty dark...TOO DARK."

So the light exploded because too much dark. The guy however, didn't. He emerged...as something pretty nasty.

Something with night-black skin. Something with really red eyes...something with 3 clawed hands, something that dropped Darkness wherever it walked...something...EDGY....something that also lost it's horns.

He became the universe's first Darkai. Darkai, things of pure Darkness, the Aarani to the Dark..they were really icky dudes.

Transformations like that don't just come like that though, nah, they came with REAL SICK POWERS! He could now elong his body into whatever shape he wanted, sharpen his body into a weapon..all those things you thought was cool back in the 5th grade. He thought "Woah..this is pretty cool..HEY I GOT POWER! WOOO"

So, in order to test out his cool new stuff..he attacked the remaining Aarani guards. And then THOSE guards turned into Darkai. Man, so did their weapons..just imagine the sight, big ol' dark guys with big ol' hammers n' axes. They were a sight to behold. Now, you could be thinking "Hey, why is the light just guarded by guards and not some cool light-technology?" Because they were people of light duh, why would they wanna harm it without their good ol' Darkness friends to help.

So, the Darkai ravaged through the city, turning all that they touched into Darkai. The high priest, oh yeah, just the guy who was in charge of everyone. Died of a heart-attack because of the Darkness he saw ravage his people. But don't worry-- he still got turned Darkai.

Oh yeah- and remember when I said that the Light went BOOOOOM? Welp, the Light kinda turned into Darkness in the process because of all that nasty stuff in the dudes mind, and went across the land..infecting the people with darkness...and they slowly turned into MORE DARKAI!

Soon, the entire capital was just darkness, Darkai scampered about, scared of their new powers and confused...and the ground underneath them slowly darkened, because of all their drips n' drops of their bodies. The Darkness saw how much weaker the presence of the light was on the planet and thought- "Man! How freakin' perfect for us! Hahahahah evil laugh." So, they decided to do their influence and the planet's land turned into Darkness, the land was all squishy and dark and it could sometimes birth new Darkai. The towers of the Aarani crumbled, the...wait there were no lakes, scratch that. And a new thing replaced the once grand Light that was in the center of the Capital.

The Grand Dark :) (Whaddya mean that Light in the capital was never called "The Grand Light"? This isn't your thing!)

So, once former planet turned dark, yeup, there you go. That's chapter 1 for you, hopefully chapter 2 won't be such a fightfest :)
