Divergent high

Beep beep beep! The alarm wakes me from my sleep while Caleb comes shouting in saying "there's a fire Beatrice! Wake up!!" I wake up and trip,falling flat on my face. I realized there was no fire and Caleb stood there laughing his ass off with a camera.

"Caleb!" Anger fills me up till my face is red and I chase him till he locks himself to be away from me. i sighed "stupid Caleb".

 I had noticed, I had about 45 minutes till school so I thought about getting ready quickly. I went to my closet and chose a white crop top that's says 'nerd' and a maroon skater skirt,matching with my white converse. I brushed my teeth and put on a minimal amount of makeup since it was just the first day of high school. I curled my hair and put it up with a hair tie pulling out a few loose strands to make it seem natural and casual.

"Tris breakfast is ready!" My brother yells from downstairs, since my father was horrid and beat me everyday he didn't care if I ate or not. I slowly make my way downstairs and i'm astonished by whats on the table.

Caleb made me pancakes! I tell Caleb thanks for the food, while he runs out the door headed to school. He was such a nerd. I noticed we still had a bit of time by the time i finished breakfast but I grabbed my bag and keys, anyways considering I didn't want to be lost at my new school and ran to my black Ferrari. My dad was rich but I didn't really give two shits because he caused me so much pain. I frown and sigh and clear these negative thoughts as I sit in my car and leave to school.

Once I've reached school. I park my car and head straight to the main office to retrieve my schedule.

1st: honor English

2nd: biology

3rd: PE

4th: math

5th: art

6th:free period

I grab a map of the school, just so I'm not lost and as I'm gathering my stuff to go outside I run into a short dark haired girl and drop all of my stuff.

"I'm so sorry!" I say frustrated. Wow first day here and i'm failing at making friends already. I frown.

"It's totally cool!" she says as she gives me a genuine smile, "btw, names Christina." she says laughing.

"I'm Tris" I introduced myself

"I'm new here and  don't know a clue about the classes mind helping me?" I guess making friends doesn't hurt i thought to myself.

"Sure!" "Lemme see your schedule" she says

I hand her my paper and she exclaims "we have the same classes!"

 She says "oh and don't worry you can sit with me and my friends at lunch." She smiles

"Okay, thanks" I smile, I like her already. Just as we head over to our lockers which are coincidentally next to each other, already filled with my books. I grab my English book and just then the bell rings and we head to class talking about our classes and a party she wants to go to later on today.

I thought to myself 'she's annoying but nice I'm pretty sure we'll get along just fine.

We arrive to class and we have a seating arrangement. I groan and I quickly shut up realizing my seat is next to Christina!...and Peter? Oh well just another nerd perhaps. Christina and I take our seats. Just then Peter sits next to me and as far as I can tell, he's probably one of the typical bad boys who are involved in gangs. Lucky me! (sarcasm) I turn to face Christina and I notice a boy with dark colored hair and strikingly blue stormy eyes. He comes in and sits next to Christina.

"Hey Christina" says the boy with the brightest eyes ever.

"Hey four!" Christina says flashing her brilliant smile. Four? thats something new i think to myself.

" oh Tris! I want you to meet someone, he's in our group also" she says "this is Four. tris four, four tris. As she introduces us. 

I give a small smile and quickly say "hey"
He does the same but his eyes linger a bit longer. He looks away quickly and our teacher Mrs.Wu directs the class toward our first assignment.

"Today you will be getting to know some people since it's the first day." She says " I have paired you up with partners so when I finish calling your names get up and move."

1) Eric and Christina

2)Beatrice and four

3)Peter and Lynn

4)Anna and Allen

She goes on till everyone's been called and we get up and move.

"guess we're partners" I say to Four slightly relieved that its someone i know.

"Hi" four says smiling

"I mean.. u..uh yea!" he stutters while lightly blushing. I stare at him having the urge to laugh out loud while he stares at me with the same need and we burst out laughing. 

"Tris! and Four! quiet down over there!" Mrs. Wu scolds.

"Okay let's get started" I say so we can get over with this class.

"Okay, so do you just wanna play 20 questions to get to know each other better?" he says.

"sure why not, ill go first." I reply

"okay go for it" he says

"okay, hmm.. Whats your favorite color?" I say.

"really Tris" he says while laughing and rolling his eyes.

"well yea, i mean i wanna know your favorite color" I say while blushing.

" Ocean Blue"he says 

"that's a nice color! Its actually my favorite color as well!" I say in excitement.

We go on and on until class ends to go to the next.....

~fast forward to end of the day~

I walk out of class letting out a big breathe i have been holding in. Finally its the end of school, i got to admit it was better than my last school. I met some new people that Christina introduced me to. I met Uriah, Zeke, Lynn, Marlene, and some other people. It was such a nice day. I smile in satisfaction as I walk on over to where my car is parked, but when i'm about to get in, i hear someone distantly yelling my name. I look over and see four running over to me. He's actually pretty cute i think to myself. 

"TRIS! I NEED TO ASK YOU SOMETHING!" he yells out.

I patiently wait as he comes into view and get ready to answer his question. "Yea Four?"

"uh..u..uhm well i wanted to know if i can have your number" He stutters while blushing and scratching his neck" 

"yea, sure" i say smiling

"aw okay" he frowns. "Wait, Really?!" he says while letting out a relieved breathe

"yea, why not we're friends right?" I reply while adding my number to his phone.

"okay, thank you" he says showing off his million dollar smile.

"Just give me a text or a ring so that I can save your number" 

"Okay ill text you tonight" he says while going to his car.

I smile to myself in amazement that this days getting better and better.

I get in my car and drive home to deal with my father Andrew
