Halie Alice Mathers
Halie Mathers is a 16 year old cuban immigrant, that recently lives in Queens, New York. She lives in a twin house with her little sister Lainie, her uncle Cain, her mom Kim, and her older cousins Antoine' and Angelo.
Hailie's family is not the richest out there, but they make ends meet. Hailie's father left when she was about 8 or 9. She used to have some good times with her dad, but left to get money and pursue his rapping career. Her father is from Saint Joseph, Missouri and moved over to Cuba to get away from his struggles of life.
He met her mom Kim when he enrolled in a high school down there and they fell in love. A few years later they had Hailie and seven years later had another daughter named Lainie. Hailie always loved her dad, but never got to spend alot of time with him because he was always working or writing songs.
Hailie's dad always wanted to be a rapper, but struggled. Soon his dad was sending CD's to a company and later got a contract and an oppurtunity to go down there and record. Her dad packed up his stuff and left. He knew that he had problems with her mother, but never would she have thought he would do that. All she remebers is when he was leaving, she cried and pouted, but he said ''stiffen up that upper lip little soldier because daddy will be here through your prayers.
When he left, her mother's brother Cain moved in with his 10 year old son's, Angelo and Antoine'. Angelo and Antoine' were always like brothers to Halie, they were always close and at that time, she really need people who cared for her. Then Cuba struck famine and they were soon in boats with their relatives to Santa Fe, New Mexico. It was scary because Halie had never experienced such a thing.
When Halie transfered over to her new school, she began fighting alot. She was getting quite skilled at it too. She would in their ragedy basement, get one of her Uncle's sandbags and hit the mess out of it. Her uncle soon noticed and got her into Cain fighting. At first she was scared fighting different girls, but soon she lived for the sport. She became well-known to people and soon people were setting up flyers awhen she would fight. She would even be in some parades becaus people loved and admired her so much. And Halie loves it.
Now that she started her journey, where will she go from here?
