"Do you know where she might be?" I examined, my hands shaking as I spoke.
It was Alaina, she was my mystery girl. It all laid into place now. The reason why I didn't spot her at the party, the reason why her eyes turned into slits when I was by another girl, and the reason why she constantly fought with me. She was scared because she was in love with me and It took me this long to realize it, but I was in love with Alaina too. Even before I knew she was my mystery girl, though it was great I liked her the way she was.
"When she's bored, she goes to Starbucks." Natalie shrugged ill-informedly, like she had no idea if her former friend had the same taste she use to.
"Thanks Nat, I'll fix you and Alaina okay? Just you wait and see." I informed, before jumping out of my seat unhesitantly and racing for the door. Starbucks was just a few streets away from there, If I hurried I could probably catch her, If she was there after all.
I pulled the door handle open and slipped inside, glancing into the rearview mirror to check my curls. Feeling satisfied with my equillibrium girls, I pulled out of the driveway and started to head in the direction of Starbucks, peeping out of my window once in a while to make sure Alaina wasn't walking on the sidewalk or anything.
Once I arrived, I pulled into drive and practically stumbled out of the car out of rushiness. I was almost there six more steps...six more steps...
My legs carried me into the door, my eyes immediately turning to the people sitting in booths finding myself disappointed when I didn't spot Alaina. I missed her or maybe she wasn't even here in the first place. Maybe Natalie made a mistake.
I exhaled slowly, my eyes falling towards the floor. This was it, It was one of those magical movie moments and she wasn't even here to experience it. I was just too late, for everything. I mean the chances of her liking me are one in a billion, I'd have to be really lucky for that to happen.
"Excuse me, sir, What can I get you?" An starbucks employee smiled from ear to ear, creating my mood to rise just a little bit.
"Nothing, but thanks." I mumbled before I walked out the door, catching sight of a blonde wearing a knit jacket, denim shorts, and tan booties. She looked exceptionally beautiful. I found my eyes search hers, creating the corners of my lips to tug up.
"Stalking me, Styles?" Alaina teased, placing a hand on her jutted hip.
I felt myself chortle at that one, Alaina was so quick-witted. I've always loved that about her, even when I was a tad bit angry with her. "Your beautiful." I smirked, letting it roll off my tongue simply.
She stared at me, clearly amazed by my random statement. I had this gut feeling that she didn't get called that often, but she needed to because she truly was.
I leaned in so that our faces were only centimeters apart, creating the beat of my heart to quicken. I'd never been so nervous about kissing a girl before, but with Alaina everything was so different. I felt different when I was around her, like I could be my alternate self. The kind of man that girls show off to their guardians and that made me feel exceedingly great.
"Harry..." Alaina started but before she could finish, I pressed my lips on top of hers, her soft lips reacting with my warm ones. It was sweet and compassionate, just like I wanted it to be. It was the best kiss ever recieved and when she was about to pull away, I leaned in once more and pecked her lips.
Alaina's face reddened as our lips detached, giving me hope that she felt the same way about me as I did about her. "You stole my heart, Alaina Sawyer." I said softly, as I stared deeply into her eyes trying to figure out how I got so lucky to be sitting next to her.
"Harry, this..."
"Ssh." I order as I placed my finger gently on her lips. "Do you hear that?" I added, as my eyes traveled the streets a bit. "The streets are silent. Nobody can judge us, we can be together."
Alaina tucked her hand in mine and leaned into my chest, a smile developing on her lips, "So....You...You know?" She stammered as she fiddled with the ring on her index finger in interest.
"Yep and I couldn't be more happier that it turned out to be you." I spoke with honesty as I turned to look up at the beautiful blue sky, not a gray cloud in sight. This was our day, and our moment. The moment we would tell our grandchildren about if we ever were granted any. My life with Alaina would be the happiest life any one would ever come to experience...
