Aaron's POV
I'll admit; it was nice to have the place to myself for the first four days. Getting to be with guys and do whatever I want, but toward the end of the day, it gets boring. I miss my little Aubrey. I miss her daily talks about work or whatever is in her mind. Sure she can be annoying at times, but it was good-type of annoying. If that makes any sense.
There are times where my mind goes into a dark path, and think of everything that can ruin our relationship. Mainly the cheating aspect. What if she falls for one of the guys? It only narrows down to two guys: Anthony Kiedis and Josh Klinghoffer.
Yeah, I had to do my own research. I could careless about the band. I only knew about the singer because he was in movies and he would be on the spotlight for getting with extremely young women. However, that Josh guy... I have a really bad feeling about that guy. He's the new young guy and he's close to our age. Aubrey better have addressed to them that she's taken by ME. No one else.
Today I'm chilling with the guys to watch the Raiders go against the Texans. I still haven't received any morning messages from her, which I found weird. Before she left, we made a promise to always tell each other what we were doing for the day. That way we wouldn't get mad if one or the other doesn't respond back for the whole day. Maybe she's just oversleeping? Don't think too much about it. It's only been four days...
When it got halftime, I thought about another possible reason on why she's not answering her phone: what if she's at the game? I mean, the guys are a big sports fan and they are in Houston. It would be convenient for them, am I right? Ehh... probably not. She can't stand me whenever I'm watching it, so why should she go?
After a million of times of texting and calling her, I gave up. I'm sure she had to do some shit for work. Aubrey is probably at some meeting and she'll call me right back to apologize for ignoring me.
I jumped right back to my couch and sat with the guys.
"Dude, you good? What's up?" Bryan asks me.
"I don't mean to sound clingy or anything, but Aubrey hasn't texted me this morning. I'm a little worried, but she can busy with work. Maybe I'm just paranoid."
Bryan hands me a beer, "you need to relax dude. Just let the girl do her thing and she'll get right back to you."
"Yeah man. You're right." I took one big gulp. "I need to chill. It's the weekends and I'm back with the boys!"
"Don't take this the wrong way, but why didn't you cut her off? Sure the long distance thing is basically a year and I would have just hopped onto someone else." Ray jumps into the the conversation.
"Aubrey's different... she makes good money and takes care of me. Wifey material. Don't we all need that?"
The guys let out a laugh. Ray says, "bro just get yourself a better job! You can be financially happy too!"
"Shut the fuck up and let's watch the game!" I yelled as the commercial cuts back to the football program.
Bryan let's out another laugh and jokes, "bro what if she's at the game and she didn't want to tell you?"
I rolled my eyes. "I doubt it. She hates when I watch football."
"WOAH! AARON! LOOK IT'S AUBREY!" Ray points at the TV.
We all glued ourselves into the TV to see that they were showing off Chad Smith as one of the famous guests to the game. I looked next Chad to see Josh and Aubrey smiling together... I couldn't believe it. I kept rewinding that same scene over and over again.
First off, she does not own ANY Raider gears so where else can she get that from? Second off, why are they sitting so CLOSE? Doesn't he know personal space?
