I decided to enroll myself into South Park High, which I've been meaning to do for awhile now. It couldn't be that bad, right?
Boy was I wrong.
I had decent clothing on, which was a sweatshirt and ripped up jeans. Perfect for first impressions right? Craig had given me a working phone, which I had no idea what it was. He just said to punch in the numbers he gave me to unlock it, and figure out the rest. Once that was dealt with, I finally figured it out. I slipped the piece of paper that Craig had given to me in case of emergencies, and typed in the numbers to call him.
I put the phone up to my ear, and waited as it gave me a buzz every so often. The other line had picked up, and Craig's voice rang clearly through my ear, "Yeah?" He asked, his voice as nasally as ever. I smiled brightly, knowing it was him, "Hi Craig, I was... Wondering if you could help me go to school." I questioned, hoping he'd say yes. He groaned, "(Y/n)... Ugh, I knew it. Alright, just... Stay by my side." He replied, sounding like a disappointed mother.
"Yay! Thank you, Craig!" I squealed, tensing up. I've never been before, so this was like seeing a new found land. Not a couple of minutes later, he was at the door. I let him in, and he eyed my outfit, but smirked slightly, "Are you comfortable with the clothes you're wearing?" He suddenly asked, standing next to me. I rose an eyebrow at him. Comfortable with my clothes?
"Well, yeah, the cold doesn't really bother me, if that's what you're asking." I answered, looking out the window to see the school across the street. He nodded, then lifted up a back pack filled with school supplies, "This will help you throughout the day. I'm usually late, like now, so I'll have you as an excuse." He explained, sliding the bag over my shoulders, "This is yours now." I blushed a little bit, knowing that we had only kissed just last night, and I felt completely comfortable around him. I couldn't be happier.
I beamed up at him, "Okay, well... Shouldn't we get going?" I asked. He shook his head, "No. I need to... Fix your hair." He pointed out the rat's nest on top of my head, and I blush, "Oh... Yeah..." I mumbled, turning my head away. He lifted his hands up and started to mess with my hair, using a small comb to brush the matted strands away. His scent filled my lungs as he inched closer to inspect the knots, and my face reddened a little more than usual.
He then steps away, and let's out a puff of air, "Good enough." He then opened the front door, holding it open for me. I smile at him, and walk through, feeling the cold run down my spine. Though I didn't shiver, it was still cold. He stepped out of my house, closing the door behind him. The little strands that hung off of his hat blew in the light breeze as we walked. The silence was a bit awkward, but it wasn't too uncomfortable, "What's it like? The school I mean." I perked up, trying to lighten the mood.
He gave me a side glance, then fixated his gaze in front of him, "It's hell, but you'll get used to it." Craig responded, not looking too happy about the word. Hell? That must sound terrible. As we were walking up to the school, a boy approaches him, which happened to be Clyde, "DUDE! Holy shit! You're finally here!" He gasps, placing his hands on his knees to catch his breath. Craig rose his eyebrow in confusion, "What. Did something happen?" He asked, tilting his head a bit. I listened intently as Clyde explained what had occurred before we had arrived to the unfamiliar highschool.
"Tweek and Bebe had gotten into a fight just because she called (Y/n) a two-faced whore. He beat the shit out of her plastic face. Dude was it amazing." He stood back up, brushing imaginary dust off of his red and white school jacket. Craig shook his head, "Drama already... Great." He sighed, looking off to the entrance of the school. Clyde smiled at me, his teeth showing proudly, "Morning, (Y/n)!" He greeted. I grinned back, "Good morning, Clyde." His face turning red.
Once we were inside the school, I had taken notice that some of the girls were glaring at me. Arguments have been coursing throughout the halls, which hurt my ears a bit. What a great impression for this school, huh? Craig had been closer to me as we walked, and I didn't mind. He had a serious facial expression, which made some of the boys a little scared to even look at him. He wasn't even that scary in my opinion. He was just a big, emotionless teddy bear.
We had arrived at a so called classroom, "Just... Act normal in some way. Everyone here is judgmental, so just watch out." He then lead me to my locker and helped me with my combination. I stared at it confusingly. It was like a small safe, "You put your books in here for later classes, like math and literature." He then handed me a small piece of paper, telling me how to open the lock without his help.
Little did I know, a certain blonde haired girl was watching in the distant, a scowl on her face, "Stupid whore... Trying to steal my man..." She snarled, striding up to Craig with a confident smile, "Oh Craig~. How're you doing honey?" She purred, latching herself onto his arm. He rolled his eyes, annoyed, "Get the fuck off of me, Bebe." He demanded, raising his hand to flip her off. I watched as the common had gone on between the two, and stepped up a little bit, "It seems like he doesn't want you to be around him... So why don't you leave him alone?" I stared at Bebe, feeling a bit of anxiety in my chest.
She scoffed, "What the hell did you say, bitch?" She huffed, letting go of Craig's arm. Craig stepped next to me, leaning on the lockers, "Get lost Bebe, no one likes your plastic ass." He raised up both of his hands, middle fingers raised high. She gasped, "I can't believe you! After all we've been through! You do this to me?" She cried, pointing to her chest. She was in the verge of tears, and yet again, Craig rolled his eyes, "We were never together, Bebe. Fuck off." He spat, his eyes narrowing.
Students were gathering around the scene, and Bebe raised her hand high, trying to slap him across the face. I instantly took her wrist into my hand, and let go quickly, surprised of my actions. Others were whispering about how I stopped her, until one males voice rises above the rest, "That's right! Teach her a fucking lesson!" He exclaimed. Craig set his arm around my shoulders protectively, not wanting to be in his situation anymore, "You can't just fucking walk away from me, Tucker!" Bebe sniffed, falling onto her knees. Craig didn't pay attention to her pleas, and quickly hurried into his homeroom, me trailing next to him.
Highschool is sure scary.
