Schaley—or should I say David—and I kept talking after Tara left. It's kind of weird talking to someone through a body that isn't theirs. That sounds weird. Let me explain.
When a ghost takes over someone's body, like what is happening to Schaley, the ghost is using that body to communicate to the people around them. This makes it seem like they are a completely different person, and I guess that is exactly what it is.
David is a few years older than us, but he still acts like a twelve year old at heart, so talking to him is VERY interesting.
"Schaley's dogs are adorable but annoying. The youngest, which is a corgi, is still a puppy and poops everywhere. Schaley forces me to take care of the dogs when I am bad." He says, and I laugh along. She treats David like an annoying older brother, and since David had been watching over Schaley since she was small, I guess they kind of are.
Suddenly, I get a text from my friend Laynie, who shares a dorm with me. She tells me that I need to come back since I have to be in the dorm by 4 today to dogsit.
"That's right, I completely forgot." I mutter to myself, and look up from my phone to Schaley—err—David.
"Hey David? I need to go. See you later!" I say, and David gives me a puzzled look.
"I have a job you know..." I say, and David nods.
"Right. See ya!"
I get in my car and drive back to the dorms. When I get inside it is 3:30.
Good, I have 30 minutes of free time before the lady comes and drops off her dogs. I think.
I plop down onto the couch in the living room, and text Tara.
All of a sudden, a vision comes to my mind of a guy with curly brown hair and brown eyes.
Once the vision disappears, I shake it off as if it's nothing. It probably is just my imagination again.
I start talking to Tara again, talking about making our own Chicken Banana Biscuit company, when I look at my phone, and Tara replied. I was about to text her back, but the message disappeared. It's probably a glitch.
Right then, Tara texts the same thing as the message that disappeared before. What the heck?
Something is going on...
All of a sudden, I'm in a plain room with a screen and a control panel in front, which has my phone as the view. It's like what I can see with my eyes, but I'm looking through a screen this time.
"Who are you?" I hear a male voice behind me, and I turn around see it is the same guy from that vision a moment ago. What is going on?
"My question is who are YOU?" I ask, returning a question with a question, and the guy raises an eyebrow.
"Do you know David?" He asks, and I can't hold back my surprise. I gasp, and the guy smirks.
"If I tell you my name, you can't tell David. Okay?" He says, and I nod. What else was I going to do?
"Alright. I'm Darwin. Darwin Strouts."
"I'm-I'm Allie. Where are we?" I ask, and Darwin raises his head to look around the room.
"It seems as if we are in your mind. This is not actual real life, this is the spiritual one." He says, and my eyes widen.
"What?!?"
All of a sudden, I hear a knock on the door. I snapped back my normal eyes, and I felt myself over to make sure this was real life. It was.
"Ms.S? I am here for the dog sitting job you wanted."
