-David's POV-
After both Tara and Allie left I sat there trying to understand the girls Schaley is friends with. She seriously never tell me anything! I yell in her head. All of a sudden I am pushed back to what I know is Schaley's mind.
-Schaley's POV-
I am switched back to myself, my head pounding."Ow..." I mumble to myself as I hold my head in the middle of the restaurant all of us were in. I have my elbows propped onto the table as I massage my head slightly. Then I feel a hand on my shoulder, casing me to jump a little, I look up at the owner of the hand to see David. "You alright Shay?" He asked me, I nodded, then looking around to see that people were staring at me in a wired way.
"Let's head home." I say quietly, hoping no one would hear me. David nods. I sign my name on the bill the waitress handed to me earlier and left a little tip. Then I grab my purse and walk out of the restaurant while David disappears into a mist.
Normally I would be working as a CEO at my company called "Inspirational Writing" but since Tara and Allie wanted to meet David and figure out more about him and all this erm ghost stuff.
When I was little, And David had showed up and talked to me, I really thought I was insane, especially since when I told my parents about it they didn't believe me.
While walking down the sidewalk towards my car I realize that I have to pick up my little brother from school.
I run towards my car and buckle as fast as possible, then started driving towards the school, hoping to get there in time so that the line isn't to long.
I gained custody of my little brother in court from my aunt any uncle after I finished my two years of collage in journalism and had the financial abilities as well as my well going company.
My abusive cousin whom still lives at my aunt and uncles, even though he is perfectly capable of moving out would be there with my little brother, who is my cousins main target, I did not trust him what so ever,
So to prevent anything from happening I decided to get custody of him.
It took a long time, two years to be exact, my aunt and uncle didn't want to give up my little brother because they believed I wasn't capable of taking care of someone.
They obviously forgot the fact I cared for him for 6 years. My mother is missing and my father is in Florida, still trying to get his act together. There were nights where'd I stay up for hours on the phone arguing with my aunt and uncle, there were many things that I would never argue with them about, but when it comes to my brother I will argue with them for days.
They always underestimated me until I proved them wrong. My aunt and uncle, as well as my two cousins always thought they were the best and others were just dirt under their feet.
That brought a lot of conflict into the house.
My older cousin was already making a life of her own, her being an archeologist had given her a good way of money, of course her mom and dad helped her most of the time, like getting her a car as well as a house.
I did all of that on my own, I started working as soon as possible, I published my first book between the age of twelve and thirteen. And then it went from there.
By the age of fifteen I had started working as a hostess for a restaurant and then I decided to start being a waitress.
Soon enough I graduated high school and then I payed for my collage intuition, went to school to school for two years and then started my small company as well as get a small apartment. Soon though, my company rose to the top five writing company's in America and I had multiple employees, and I was able to afford a large home.
I have made a good life for myself, and I'm proud of it.
I pull into the school, seeing the long line made me groan in annoyance.
Pulling into the parking lot, I find a spot that my car could fit into and got out, walking into the elementary school, my heels clicking on the tile floor as I go to the office.
"How may I help you?" An old women says, I look up at her and forming my best smile possible while trying to catch my breath. "Hi, I'm here to pick up Sean Shaulis." I croak out to her. Then someone brings me a bottle of water and I thank them before they scurried away.
"Ok, fill out these papers and we'll call him down." She says, I nod and take the papers from the women.
Sitting down I start to fill them out with the pen provided.
After I while I finish the papers and the women calls down my little brother Sean.
I look at my phone, checking for any work emails to see if anything had happened while I wasn't in the office. All of a sudden I am wrapped in a hug. Looking down I see my eight year old brother, looking up while giving a toothy smile.
"Hi!" He says happily, letting go of me in the process.
"Hey, you ready to go?" I say to him as I ruffle his hair.
He nods and we head out to the car, well, Sean skips but you get the point. "Can I sit in the front?" He asks cutely causing me to chuckle.
"Yeah." His face lightens up. "In about four years." I add on and he pouts. "Get into the car silly." I say to him and he skips to far and gets into the backseat.
He's so damn adorable..I think to myself as I get into the drivers seat and start to drive, trying to get out of the horrid car line.
"How was school today bud?" I ask my brother in the backseat, attempting to distract myself from the anger riding in me because of the extremely slow driver in front of me.
"It was good, today my friend Jacob made a really funny joke at lunch and..." He babbled on and on. That was one thing about him, he liked to talk. He was like a chirping cricket.
But I'm ok with it, him taking reminds me that not all people are just negative.
All of a sudden my phone started ringing on my car.
I pressed the answer button on my wheel, putting the phone on speaker.
"Is this Ms.Shaulis?" A lady said on the phone.
"Yes it is." I reply.
"We found your mother."
