Chapter 1: Packing up!

"Oh dear, I can't believe my angel is going to leave me." My mom said teary eyed.

I smiled and went to hug her, "Aww, don't say that. I'm not leaving you permanently, I'm just staying there for my college. Remember I promised to call you? Like, twice a week?" I asked.

"Yes. I remember dear." She said looking at me.

"And by the way, I wasn't able to mention this before but me and your dad have a house in California." She smiled.

"And I guess it'll help you so... you can use it." She added.

"What?! Oh my gosh! Thank you mom!" I screamed with delight.

*sigh* my mom always have ways to put a smile on my face.

"I know, I know." She laughed. "The house key is inside my purse."

"This is amazing!" I screamed not getting over the fact that I don't need to rent a dorm and spend much money.

My mom returned with the keys on her hands.

"Here. Good luck sweetie." She said handing me the keys, smiling softly.

"Thanks mom." I got it and put it in my pocket.

"Are you done packing your things? It's already 8:40 am and your flight is around 9:20 am." She reminded

I nodded. "Yes mom, I'm done. I guess I'll just put my things in your car."

"Okay. Let's go." She opened the door, me following her behind.

I can't believe I'm going to California. This would be my opportunity to meet new friends, learn new stuff in school, and discover new places. Just like I always wanted. A fresh new life.
