Crash! "What was that?" I thought to myself as I lay awake at night. I wasn't worried about the broken glass. It probably wasn't anything important. The glass walls of this, now underwater, prison are impossible to break through. It wasn't even all that bad until Master Thracius and the other Masters left. When they were here we all had fun training together in the basics of magic and then our masters would teach us individually. I would learn necromancy, Shane hydromancy, Marwin geomancy, Charlotte cyclomancy, Sabine biomancy, and Theodore pyromancy.
Anyway, now that you have a bit of a background, we can get back to the glass breaking. I ran through the list of possibilities, if it is Marwin's cosmetics we will not hear the end of it for days. If the glass was from Squishy's tank, and Shane is not paying attention, then poor Squishy will die (Wow that was dark, but when you are a necromancer, or a death make as some people like to call tell you tend to be pretty dark as it its). It is also likely that Charlotte is going on a rampage and is breaking things again.
I decide that I should probably get up and see what that sound was. I walk down the halls and look around. The only thing that is unusual is that the hydromancy shard that protects the ase is severely depleted. That is kind of worrying because that only happens when we are attacked, or so Master Alfonz told us one day during one of our group lessons. I decide to ask Shane to check it out in the morning. I am tired and want to go back to bed.
When I wake up the next morning, I see that everyone else is also concerned by the depleted crystal. I don't mention it, but it looks that we were attacked again last night and I didn't notice. When I walk in the room everyone goes silent. I first I want to blurt out that I heard glass breaking last night and that we should go back to our studies as quickly as possible. We need to get out of this place as quickly as possible.
*********************************Yesterday went pretty well after the crystal started its drastic fading. I personally felt like a lot got done. First we had a lovely breakfast so sushi with Mexican rice in stead of sticky rice and it was pretty good(it was Theo's turn to cook breakfast and he likes to mix things up a bit). After that we went to our study/practice room and tried to learn a few more spells. Then we each went into our own parts of the base and practiced our different magics. I don't know if the others are, but I certainly use this time to actually study magic. I would ask them, but the masters had a strict policy of not letting us tell everyone else what we learned. What we could ask though was if we made any progress and if so doing what. I know it's kind of weird, but that is just the way we do it. After the 2 1/2 hour ish study time we had a nice chat about what we did. I personally thought that Shane was trying to prefect moving the bas around, but apparently that isn't how hydromancy works, or so Shane claims. After our chat we had a free time where we could read or practice more magic (so I guess that it wasn't really free time, but it was the best that we had).
Thank you for reading this short blurb I will try to up date as much as possible . Feel free to vote and comment. If you have any ideas then I will be happy to read them. If anyone has any ideas for the cover let me know please!
