The crystal when out completely last night, and now the glass to our "unbreakable fortress" is now crashing down around us, and I really do mean crashing, my room and Marwin's have already shattered and Theo's room is about to shatter too. We are all trying to get all of the info that we can learn and put away safely.
Sabine and Theo are doing fine, but Shane is starting to get on my nerves. He is constantly muttering about how he "needs to find the book" I think that all of those stupid pranks are finally wearing on his conscience. Marwin is trying to get Shane to send Squishy into the remains of her room to get her makeup, but Shane is to distracted to tell her that he doesn't care about her stupid makeup. Charlette is being Charlette and has gone back to tormenting the rest of us with remarks about how bad we are doing our jobs and that we should just let her do it all. I just wish our masters were back. Then none of this would be happening.
Crash!
Well, there goes to Theo's room. I hope that he got everything out of his room that he needs. Shane walks up to me and looks very excited. Well, this is going to be good.
"I found it!" Shane said ardently. "I found the noticrysilica that has the way to move the base.
"Wow, great now how do you use it? I said. hoping to get him to do something actually useful.
"Well, that's the problem. I don't know how to execute a few crucial precursor spells that I need to move the base. Alfonz was about to teach me how to do them, but then..." Shane trailed off thinking wishfully that his master would come back. We all did especially now.
"I know you miss him but we all need you to keep your head on your shoulders, and help us get out. that is the only way that we are getting out of here alive, with your help. Get together your things, and then start getting everyone together for a mass water breathing charm. We will need it in order to escape from these crushing depths." With that, I gave Shane a pat on the back. Not that I do that kind of thing usually, but he looked like he needed a pick me up.
I moved onto helping everyone else get their stuff out of their rooms. We got everything together and Shane cast the water breathing charm, and we all cast a defensive impact charm to protect us from the pressure of the water around us causing the base to crumble.
As we swam out of the ruins of our lifetime home, I noticed that I was draining all of the energy that I had devoted to not getting me crushed. that was not normal. I usually could go for 2 hours and then be exhausted. but it had only been 3 minutes since I had left the base and I was almost drained.
I looked around at the others to see how they were fairing and I could see that everyone but Shane was struggling to keep going. I used my com-crystal that Charlette had enchanted so that we could talk to each other from any distance, so we would never lose touch as long as we all had our crystals, "Hey Shane, could you throw up a pressure bubble, the rest of us are having a hard time maintaining our spells. There must be something in the water that is making the water pressure skyrocket."
"Yeah, sure thing. I just got done talking with Marwin and she said that everyone was going to be crushed if you don't do anything' I thought that she might be over exaggerating a bit, but I can't blame her. We all have been through many challenges these past few weeks."
Once Shane threw up the bubble we all got to the surface pretty easily considering we were drop dead tired. We broke through the ocean and yelled excitedly. We had made it!
Then we looked around and for the first time since we could remember we saw that the world was not the same as we had been told. Everything was different.
