Chapter 1

Today was the day I met my new guardian. I was orphaned when I was 2 because my parents were killed in a freak boat accident. But that was 12 years ago in 2014 and now it's 2026. Nothing much has changed, really. We are on the iPhone 11 and cars don't need gasoline anymore (they run on peanut butter which is kinda weird but I don't argue with physics) but it is still pretty much the same.

I am sick of orphanages because they are a bunch of crap. They tell you that someone will adopt you one day but they are LIARS!!! And since I have been stuck in crappy orphanages for 12 years, I took matters into my own hands. I have been searching intensely for the past 7 months for a new home. I finally got lucky and found a home.

My adopter (that's probably not a word but oh well) is a 32 year old single man of the name of H. Selyts and truthfully I am pretty darn scared. I find it kind of creepy that single guy wants a daughter but it's better than those crappy orphanages.

Mr. Selyts lives in Britain so I have a loooooong trip ahead of me. I arrived at the airport alone. Courtesy of The Crappy Orphanage :). Aren't they sweet? My flight left at 8:15 and I had about an hour to roam the airport. Alone. I sat down at table at the miniature Starbucks. I sat down and found myself with absolutely nothing to do. I literally owned nothing. All I had was the fortune that was left behind by my parents. But the downside was that I had no clothes.

The fortune was fortunately (see what I did there?) given to me now that I wasn't under the custody of The Crappy Orphange. And I didn't have it in cash. I had it on a fully loaded debit card, baby! But I didn't know what to buy...

I walked over to a magazine rack and glanced at the covers. "Old One Direction star adopts child". I will buy that one! "Keeping up With The Kardashians, the Longest Running Reality Show in History" Interesting...that'll do!

My flight finally came and I was prepared with a brand new neck pillow and magazines. I opened up the first one and flipped to the cover article. It was an interview with Harry Styles himself. He said he was adopting a 14 year old girl. What a coincidence...
