Lilia's p.o.v.

I sat at my desk, hard at work on my latest art project. I smiled with detirmination, pushing my braid to my back. My mother called up the stairs. "Lili! I won't let you stay cooped up there all day!" She said. I sighed angrily. "Besides, we have guests coming over for dinner! So get dressed, hun!" I glared at her door. "Fine, mother!"

I stood up and looked at my closet. After careful consideration, I now had on a pink and blue floral dress and sandals to besa the summer heat. I re-braided my hair and hopped down the steps. My mother was at the door, talking to a man and woman, a teen about her age was staring inside. The girl had tanned skin, short black hair and green eyes. She looked contrast compared to me. I had pale skin and long blonde hair and hazel eyes.

My mother turned around and smiled. "This is the Bellerose family and their daughter, Katelyn!" She stepped to the side so the 3 people could walk in. Katelyn approached me and smiled. "Hi!" She stuck out her hand for a shake. I took it. "Hi. I'm Lilia." I said bluntly. Katelyn looked at the stairs, then at me. "Can you show me your room?" She asked me eagerly. I sighed. "Fine, but look with your eyes, not your hands." I said, rolling my eyes.

I led her upstairs, not really that excited to show a stranger my room. I pushed open the door, shuffling my foot on the carpet impatiently. "Alright, you can look around, but. Eyes, not Hands." My voice sounded harsher than intended, but I didn't care.
