Chapter 7

Tobis POV

No no no no no no NO!!!! This can not be happening. As soon as I got out of the truck I smelt my mate in the air and I had a bad feeling that he was in the Alphas house where everyone was headed. I told them I'd be in in a minute. As soon as they disappeared in the house I ran to a tree and started hyperventilating. I was not worthy of a mate. Why'd it have to be today? I was for sure thinking I was going to be one of those people that had to wait years for their mate. I was just unlucky like that. But earlier I was just so jealous of Sam and his mates. I wanted to feel something like they did. Even if it was brief and meaningless. I planned it to be with Blake. He was cute and seemed to not have a care in the world. But then we ran into Sam and Blake's brothers. But then I knew the perfect person who would willingly do it with me, no questions asked. The quarterback of the football team was a secret sub and loved to be dominated by guys smaller then him. He's tried asking me to before but I've always turned him down because I was waiting for my mate.

But I did something stupid and took his offer. I had sex with him in his garage in his car and then I left to Sam's house.

Sam please come out here we need to talk. Don't let anyone come with you. I quickly mind link Sam. Hoping he comes quickly my stomach start to tighten as I wait for him to come out.

Eventually he does and he quickly come over to me. "Tobi your mates in there asking for you. Are you ok?"

I gulp down bile and look my best friend in the eyes. "I did something absolutely awful."

"What did you do?" Sam asks cautiously.

"I-I slept with someone earlier." I spit out.

"You WHAT!?!" Sam gasps out.

"I know it's awful I was so stupid." I bury my face in my hands as sobs rack through my body. My wolf howled in agony and my stupidness.

"Tobi don't be so hard on yourself. Everyone makes mistakes." Sam says putting a hand on my shoulder.

"It's one of the biggest mistakes you can make towards your mate." I sob.

"He'll be able to forgive you." Sam tries.

"I wouldn't be surprised if he just reject me here and now." I say.

"You'll just have to see for yourself." Sam murmurs.

I sigh. "Should I even wait to see? It'll be better if I just disappear."

"No you have to see what he says. You can't just give up hope. He's been waiting for you for his whole life."

"And I already betrayed him before he even met me literally hours before." This was hopeless.

"Tobi just-"

"Sweetie everything alright?" Damien stands just outside the door looking concerned.

"Not exactly." Sam says looking to me. Damien looks at me as well and his face changes and I see pity. I wipe my face clean of tears embarrassed and I turn away glaring at the grass.

I was about to tell him I was fine but the door was opened further and a very handsome man appeared in the door way. He looked similar to the twins but he seemed manlier he had more dominance about him. "Mate." I day breathlessly. I watch as him mouth forms the words as well. But I saw anger in his eyes. Did he hear what I told Sam? He thundered over to Sam and I and the next thing I know Sam is being pushed against the tree trunk by his neck. "What did you do to make my mate cry?" He growled out. Sam's eyes widen in fear and Damien is trying to make the man, my mate let go of Sam.

"He didn't do anything. Let him go." I snap.

The man growls at Sam and lets him go. By now Derek and the Alpha and his mate have come out to see what all the commotion is about. Derek and Damien go to their mate comforting him and looking at the now forming bruises on his neck.

"Why are you crying?" He asks touching my cheek gently.
