"You're late!"

"I-I'm sorry," she stuttered, "I won't do it again." She looked down and bit down the side of her tongue. "You should be. Now tell me why you're late?" Natsu asked with a hoarse tone while standing up and walking in front of his desk.

"Um, obviously people have a family to take care of so..." she whispered as Natsu still isn't convinced by her excuse. "Who?" He asked again.

"My daughter." she replied confidently. Natsu raised a brow at her confusingly, "Is that so Ms. Heartfilia? In my records...you aren't married. Must have you been sleeping with other men and miss counted? And forgotten who's that child's father?" He smirked evilly. Lucy made a shocked face and gritted her teeth together in fury.

"You hypocrite! Just letting you know, not all women are sluts!" she yells but Natsu remained calm and collected while he walked over to her, "I just don't wander around looking for some fucking! You know, this is only the second day and I'm quitting, you heartless bastard, " She started pushing him but didn't budge, "I don't even know why I agreed to become your PA." She yelled as she turned around and twisted the handle of the door and tried pulling it. Something or someone was blocking the way, a hand was on the door. Lucy looked over her shoulder and glared at him, "You're such a jerk..."

"You can't quit. I told you're manager that you're no longer able to work there. What are you going to do now, Ms. Heartfilia?" Lucy's eyes widened shock as her hands began to tremble. Her hands clenched together tight wanting to slap his smirk off his face. "Y-You...fuck you," she whispered.

"Soon." He replied. "If you're thinking you can find another job. I don't think so," he said and lifted up a piece of paper which Lucy saw the bottom of the page that she signed it. "I have a contract that you signed. You're not able to quit until I tell you so." Her eyes widened and gritted her teeth angrily. One of her hands flew up and swiped it across his face making a loud noise echoing around the room. How immature of him... she thought.

Natsu seemed a bit shock and slowly his mouth turned into an evil smirk. Immediately his hands grabbed both of Lucy's wrist and held it against the wooden door while Lucy struggled to get out of his grasps. Natsu leaned in close to her ear and whispered, "I'll make your life a living hell, Ms. Heartfilia. Watch me." Lucy felt shivers down her spine and bit her lip in nervousness as she looked away.

Natsu chuckled and let her hands go as Lucy huffed a breath and left his office.

"Lucy, why are you back?" Layla asked that was sitting down on the couch reading a book. Lucy ignored her mother's question and went straight to her child that was playing with some dolls in the middle of the living room. She picked her up in her arms as her child giggled, "I'm going home. My boss said I need a rest." She said and went to her mother and kissed her wrinkled cheek. Layla just nodded her head, "Be safe, alright?" Layla exclaimed worriedly to her.

Lucy stopped her tracks and looked over her shoulder and said, "Yes. I love you, mother!" She waved goodbye as her child mimicked her gesture and waved back to her grandmother.

Lucy and Nashi went straight home, well, an apartment. The apartment wasn't that big or small, just the right size to fit a family. It has two bedrooms but Lucy used the second bedroom for her daughter to play and sleep while Lucy cooks.
