In this world, important dates, times, and other things will appear on your skin. But the thing is, is that they all have one thing in common: your soulmate. The only things that are consistent is the 6 digits on your wrist. They're there from the day you're born. It's supposedly the date you meet your soulmate. It only disappears on the day you meet them. I fades away exactly one hour before you meet them, only to be replaced with the location.

Phil's P.O.V.

I woke up and glanced down at my wrist like I'd done every day this month. The date on my wrist read "22/10/09." I quickly reached over and checked the date on my phone. I felt my heart quicken and my breath shorten. I quickly stood up and immediately called my best friend, PJ.

"Peej!" I said into the phone.

"Yeah mate? What's up, you okay?" He sounded a bit groggy.

"Peej, I'm freaking out. Today's the day!"

"Phil, what are you on about? What's toda-" realization dawned on him suddenly. "OH SHIT IT'S TODAY?! I'll be right over!"

The line went dead. I stood up and raced to my bathroom. I undressed and quickly showered, my mind absolutely racing. What if it's not a boy? I've been gay for years, it has to be a boy, right? What is he doesn't like me? What if he runs away when he sees me? I know I would run if I was my soulmate. I tried my best to quickly push the thoughts out of my mind. They had to love me, right? We are soulmates after all.

I turned off the water and stepped out of the shower, wrapping a towel around my waist. I threw on some boxers and sweatpants and returned to the bathroom to blow dry my hair. Once my hair was dry and I had unplugged my straightener, I heard a loud knock at the door. I opened it to reveal PJ, standing there panting. He walked inside with a huge smile on his face.

"Chris took the car to get groceries so I ran," he explained, still panting. Chris was PJ's soulmate. They met about 2 years ago and were engaged.

I laughed and we went to the kitchen to get something to eat. We talked as we ate, about what we do once we found them. PJ assured me that it would be a boy. I was starting to feel more at ease when I felt a tingling sensation on my wrist. I looked down and saw that the date on my wrist had began to fade away. I jumped up and panicked. PJ got up with me and reassured me that it meant I had only an hour until I met my soulmate.

We rushed out of the kitchen and into my bedroom. PJ quickly but carefully helped me pick out what to wear, I was meeting my soulmate after all. We did one last check over to make sure everything was perfect and left the house. Once we were outside, I looked down at my wrist once more.

"Hyde Park," I read.

PJ smiled at me and engulfed me in a hug. "You'll be fine, Phil. Let me know how it goes later," and just like that, he was gone.

I began my walk to Hyde Park, alone, shaking slightly. Nervous thoughts crammed my head. So much so that it felt as though I had only been walking for 5 minutes, when in reality it had been 20. I stooped in front of the gates to the park and closed my eyes. I  took a deep breath and entered.

When you first see your soulmate, your wrist tingles. When you first speak to them, your wrist burns. When you first kiss them, it stops immediately and whatever marks you had on your wrist leave. Forever.

I looked around for a while until my eyes came to rest on the back of a man's head. He was tall and pale, his hair was a brown, curly mess atop his head. His head jerked up and he stood up from the bench he had ben sitting on. He looked around with a slightly anxious expression on his face and turned to face me. My big, blue eyes were met with a pair of beautiful dark brown ones. My heart skipped a beat and my wrist began to tingle. I could feel my face going red as I saw the stranger look down at his own wrist.

When he looked up once more, he smiled at me. Damn, that smile was beautiful. It could light up an entire room. I knew right then that I wanted to see that smile on this boy's face every single day for the rest of my life.

I returned the smile he gave me and began walking over to him. He took a few steps as well, meeting me in the middle. He was shorter than I was, but he was still tall. He looked into my yes and I saw that they were glazed over. He threw his arms around my neck and I didn't hesitate to wrap mine around his middle, hugging him tightly. I felt my wrist begin to burn but I didn't care.

"I was beginning to think I'd never find you," he said through sniffles. I squeezed him tight before releasing him.

He winced in pain and grabbed his wrist. It was beginning to burn him bad. I grabbed both of his hands and I kissed his lips. He was obviously taken by surprise, but he kissed back just as passionately as I did. The minute our lips touched, the pain and burning was gone.

We pulled away after a few blissful moments and the only thing I wanted to feel were his lips on mine again. I looked into his eyes as I spoke.

"Better?"

"Much," he smiled and I quickly pecked his nose.

'What's your name, bear?" I asked, grabbing his hand and intertwining our fingers. He giggled again, covering his blushing cheeks with his adorable sweater paws.

"Dan," he replied, "but I quite like bear." he asked, pecking my cheek as we walked through the park. "What about you, my lion?"

I smiled at the nickname. "Phil."

"Phil," Dan repeated, "I could get used to that."

Hope you enjoyed that! Sorry, I couldn't think of a creative title! Stay safe everyone.
