Kiara marched through the dark hall ways that were illuminated by dull fairy crystals. She had left the girl with June, a blonde woman who was going to have to tutor the new girl if Summer refused again. A clack clack clack noise from down a separate much smaller hall way alerted Kiara to another presence, and she needlessly melted into the shadows casted by the huge heavy black curtains. ''click clack clickity clack the castles asleep and the brooms must now sweep swish swosh the mops..'' the singing turned to humming, and Kiara came away from the shadows, sighing. It was just a servant. When he saw her, he jumped in surprise. ''Mistress, you have returned.'' he fell to his knees and bowed low to the ground. ''No need to bow Burny.'' He stood, head still bowed. ''Mistress, bow in some way I must.'' Kiara sighed. ''you aren't in the city any more.'' He nodded, and continued to sweep the floor, and Kiara continued her journey to the Treasury. She had to go down several floors, but it wasn't too much of a problem, thanks to the Elven technology of the carriers that went up and down. Kiara came across one, and slipped in to it, pressing the down button. Kiara didn't know how the loft worked, because the Elves refused to share their knowledge, but it didn't matter. As long as she did t have to march up and down endless marble steps. The lift rattled to a stop, and Kiara stepped out, turned right and marched eighteen paces forward. A bronze door materialized in the wall. Twisting metal vines were carved into the door, swirling around and around, originating from the door knob that was placed in the middle of the door. A key hole was in the middle of the knob, and Kiara touched it lightly whispering "chidoketcri." The vines twisted away from the knob and off the front side of the door, and it swung open. Pale light flooded out, illuminating Kiaras dark cloak. She lifted her hood to shield her eyes, and stepped in. The door slammed shut behind her, the vines spiraling around the knob again. She didn't have to examine the room to know that the walls were bronze, trimmed with a blood red, and that the floor was a blank white. "Ah, welcome back Love." A shadow in the corner of an elaborate bronze and red room became a person in a similar cloak. The hood was up, hiding the face, but Kiara knew who it was. The silky, quiet voice was unmistakable. "Dominic how many times do I have to tell you not to use pet names for me? I'm Kiara, not Honey, or Love, or Sweet heart." Dominic sighed and slouched closer, and Kiara ignored him, headed to the middle of the grand room where a bronze spiral patterned pedestal stood. "But Ki Ki..." "Correct your posture you are an assassin not a City Dweller." Ki Ki interrupted. She listened to the faint whisper of his clothes as he straightened up. "Better?" He muttered. Ki only nodded, gazing intently at the pedestal. It had a large round red bottom, that stemmed up like a small tree. At the top it flattened out into a shallow red bowl filled with clear mirror like water. "Did you find the real deal?" Dominic's tone changed from playfully resent to quiet seriousness. Kiara ignored him and pulled the brown package out from one of the secret pockets in her cloak. It was small, fitting in her hand, but a fist wouldn't have hid it. She slowly unwrapped it, breath stopped. As the brown paper fell away, They both took a sharp intake of breath.
